Our snowpocalypse was Valentine's Day, 2021. We stayed frozen solid for about 3 whole days.

Space Force uses the same ranks as the Army, so Captain is O3. He's an O1 (Second Lieutenant) and will make O2 and eventually O3 provided he continues to breathe for the next few years.

It's not like the Navy where you need to be an O6 to be a Captain that can take an entire career.
