One other suggestion: Buy the book "Ask the Namibian Guides." https://www.amazon.com/Ask-Namibian-Guides-Information-Professional/dp/157157364X

I bought it to research for a Namibia safari and ended up booking with one of the Outifitters / PH featured in the book (Joof Lamprecht). However, the book will also be good for your need, as each of the 10-12 PHs featured in the book tell about how they got started.
