I have lived in Africa most of my life, with 8 years spent in Brazil. Born Zimbabwean and now resident in South Africa. Have hunted since 6 years of age and includes Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa and Tanzania.
Currently working on a Project in DRC, so busy looking at the Ugandan opportunities for a different hunt.
I also own a firearms shop in Parow, South Africa ( Parow Arms & Ammo Pty Ltd) which will be my ultimate "retirement job".
Looking forward to some good interaction on this site.

Never been to Africa. I am working on that situation. However, I think I can give some advise. Hurry up and retire and run that gun shop.;)

Thanks, Arizona. Been a hunter for 54 years now, but seriously for the last 30 years. ONLY hunted in Africa, but have fished in many other parts of the World.

welcome and enjoy the site bruce
Uganda looks like a great place to hunt

Funny I had never even thought of Uganda for hunting so I went to the Outfitters page and it doesn't even have any outfitters listed. Can you hunt there? Just wondering.

Hi Bruce,

Please tell more about Uganda hunting. I am quite invested to hunt there too.

Stan,
Still checking it all out...Uganda re - opened hunting in 2010 and I was privileged to be invited on the PIONEER safari trip/ path finding trip to actually check it all pout, cut roads, site camps etc..as well as to hunt!! It was a busy year for me business wise at that time and I was unable to go.
In June this year we went to the mountains in Uganda ( border with DRC/ Rwanda) to see the mountain gorillas and also spent about a 4 x days in the rift valley Queen Elizabeth Park...LOTS of buff and elephant and the National antelope KOB.......apparently only 2 x operators hunting there, but I have traced my ex PH now retired in Portugal to get the info re the 2010 trip and see which operator is the better to approach etc.
Will keep you posted.

Bruce

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.

Hi EGS

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
