You will find lots of info on the various species on AH. You can also visit my website for information on gemsbok and other species.

As I said I will be going to SA in May with my dad. We won the hunt at an SCI dinner in 2010. I will be using Maximum Safaris. I am looking forward to the hunt with my dad. This will be a trip of a lifetime! I plan on taking an Impala, Warthog, Blesbuck, Gemsbuck, and a Blue Wildebeest. I am now few weeks away and cant wait to get the pics posted!

Congradulations! If you have the money and there are nice kudu on the property, do yourself a favor and shoot one. I talk to guys that still have kudu nightmares...for letting one get away(lol). They truly are a majestic animal!

Lol Eric, I have one thats returning this June to try and get rid of those nightmares!

Marius, those are serious problems (lol). I can understand them though....I remember on my last trip...I was still looking for that special kudu on the last day, and I got one that was 55+ on one side and 53+ on the other...the bases were 11.5 on one and 11.75 on the other side....on the last hour of the hunt....to say I was happy, is truly an understated phase!

Kudu surely is majestic i have hunted twice 21 days with a very good friend from Sweden and we had many Kudu in the area and good ones and i could not get him to take one this stays with me now 10 years later, we took from Genet cat to Lion but no go with Kudu . Still wonder what i did wrong.

I will keep the kudu in mind but I think for this trip the cost might be a bit much. I love the gemsbuck and am really looking for that one. I am on the fence about the Wildebeest though. I have gone back and forth with that and the zeebra. I told PH I wanted the Wildebeest and I know I can change when I am there. I guess I will just see where the wind takes me when I am there.

Rick, I don't know how many times you will go to Africa....but I have looked over your outfitters website....and would not suggest the wildebeest or zebra. I love the zebra..they can be hunted elsewhere a lot cheaper....same with the wildebeest....but he should have some really nice kudu...and the kudu price is fair...and you are bound to get a good one if you look for 2 full culls with the tops coming out the sides. Just my two cents....I don't want to sound pushy but it's something to consider.

Who knows.. Maybe after I put my eyes on one I wont be able to resist.

Best of luck, I'm really envy that you are going to hunt this year (lol)....hope you bring back some great memories!

I have always wanted to do this, as has my dad... we finally just said lets do it! As soon as I am back I will have the pics on here for you all see! I can't wait!!

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
