Good one.

My wife was being measured for a different stock on her model 70.

And saw the CZ
Totally worth the price of admission for $1400*. Original owner probably shot the first 5 rounds of that box and put it on consignment.

*Keep in mind, you might be taking on a project that requires some gunsmithing skills. If you are not capable of DIY, it could cost a significant amount of money.

Not surprising that your wife has and eye for deals. At least this time it was in a gun shop instead of the jewelry counter. ;)

22" ???
$2500
It's had some work done on it for sure. At least a new stock has been added, the bolt straightened, along with the obvious barrel shortening to 22". Need to know that the one who did the work isn't only good at cosmetic attributes, but can actually make it feed and cycle reliably. A picture of a recent target would be nice along with them adding a M70 wing style safety.

Otherwise they are reaching for a price that is out of bounds.

I think all the work may have been done at Triple River/CZ custom shop. I really think that price is great for the limited runs in .500J. You are absolutely correct it may need work. I also think bolt has NOT been straightened (but looking at it on phone).

I’m seriously waiting to the Krish purchase announcement. Haaaa. The seller also has a Jim Brockman “built” CZ in .550 Magnum for around the same price. Awesome stopping rifle. Original CZ stock with swivel stud in forend. Oooof. If you have brass, the barreled action/work by a solid smith is likely worth the ask. Still needs bolt work (as did the other two) and 3 pos safety.

Nice S2 ?

I'm afraid to buy anything, anymore.

Came upon this specimen in my searches,
A very basic Dumoulin in .416 Riby for only 1530€ (yes it is located in Europe, France more specifically)

Maybe have someone redo that ugly stock and you have yourself a very serviceable Africa weapon!

Looks like a gun built on a standard length commercial action from FN. Evidenced by the cut out at the front for the 416 bullet to clear during loading and the right-of-action safety. They didn’t alter the bolt knob either.

Not a terrible gun, but definitely bottom of the barrel on minimum-viable for a 416 Rigby. For less than 3x the price, I think @VertigoBE 416 Rigby is worth about 30x the money.

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
