Big Eurasian Boar Down

It was a very fun stalk and Jayden put on a fine demonstration of his skill with a rifle. That young man can SHOOT! The day was horribly windy and he was able to concentrate and get his feet planted firmly and establish a good base once we got him on the sticks. Took his time and squeezed off a great shot. Those big old nasty attitude having toads can sure soak up the lead. Jayden’s follow up was a great shot as well. So privileged to get to do what I do for a living. He and his Momma are such special people and the Rockin G is so blessed to have such a great hunting family. Gizmo has built a very special place and it’s so much fun to be a part of it. Hats off to the Gremlin family! And huge THANK YOU to Carrie Ann and Jayden!!!

Yes sir Giz I was not going to mention the fact that Carrie drew blood twice with her rifle either, but you’re right, it happens. When she scoped herself, she was pulling off a second shot on a wounded hog that was running from right to left. She made two very well placed shots on that hog and one well placed dinger to the snot pumper lol!!!! In true Carrie fashion, she was able to laugh it off and poke a little fun at herself. Hate that it happened, but proud she could still tell me how exactly how far down the fence and towards the creek the hog had gone before he piled up in the brush, so I know she stayed on her scope even after the unexpected meeting that took place on the bridge of her nose. Great Job of stacking chops!!!! Had a great weekend at the Rockin G

I’m not really a big fan of pork in general but yes they are edible.
