I know after Cecil many Airlines put Big 5 restrictions on cargo- Are these still in place?

The exporter was telling me that my buffalo was going to fly Delta but iirc they had banned Big 5?

Also they wouldn’t fly it to me in Anchorage but wanted it to go to Seattle then I’d have to pay more to barge it up….

In the past I have had taxidermy shipped directly to ANC and my taxidermist picked it up…

Any advice on exporters/importers to Alaska?

I’m pretty sure Anchorage is a designated port of entry, but not every airline will ship big 5. Turkish air will, but they probably don’t fly there. I’d contact Coppersmith in Seattle and see what ideas they have. There might be a carrier that will fly it forward from Seattle to Anchorage.

There are plenty of Pacific Rim Carriers who fly to Anchorage. It’s not the traditional Africa to USA route, but maybe you can find a carrier going that direction.

Just had a crate land at DFW with Buffalo via Turkish. From my understanding, delta won’t fly big 5. Not sure about ANC but I used Coppersmiths as my broker both times. First went smooth so hoping this time goes just as well. Currently awaiting USDA inspection.

FedEx flew my buffalo 4 years ago right into their hub in Anchorage.. I hadn't heard Delta will now, didn't then.

Alaska Airlines would probably fly it. They fly a lot of hunters, trophies, and game meat to and from various places in Alaska. Their major hub is Seattle.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.
