What are your plans for 2017 Thanksgiving, November 23?
Where will you be?
With whom do you share it with?

I will be at home, cooking up some good food and watching my Vikings play against the Detroit Lions. Both my parents are deceased, and I have no other family in town, except for an estranged sister. It's not much of a family holiday for me, but I still enjoy the tradition of the day..

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, including our hunting brotherhood in Africa!

My daughter will be going in for brain surgery tomorrow. Assuming everything goes well and they fix the trigeminal neuralgia eliminating her pain, we will be dancing in the streets! If not, we will still be loving and caring for her as always. She and her daughter are beautiful loving little ladies!
We will be giving thanks that we still have them, our other three grandkids and our two great grandkids.

Here’s hoping you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and don’t forget you’re suppose to eat to much!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::D

Thank you for sharing this with us. We keep her and the family in our thoughts and prayers. Best of luck during this difficult time.
Keep us posted. Thinking of you.

It’s going to be a wonderful Thanksgiving at our house I’m sure! According to the neuro surgeon the operation went well! He easily found the nerve and blood vessel causing the problem. Then he placed a pad between them. Keeping our fingers crossed, but according to him this should eliminate her horrible pain.
I believe we will be blessed again with a renewed daughter.
Thanks guys for your thoughts and prayers!

Have an AWESOME Thanksgiving!

I will definitely have a hunt report and hopefully some good pics when I return!

Never realized other countries participated in Thanksgiving as an event. I assumed it was a US holiday. :A Blink:

@Ridgewalker continued prayers for your daughter and praise for her successful surgery!
Happy Thanksgiving to all.

This Thanksgiving is special to me- for it was exactly 50 years to the day, Nov 23, 1967 that I boarded a plane at El Toro MCAS (near Santa Ana, CA,USA) enroute to DaNang, South VietNam. I reflect on those friends that died or were disabled and I continue to give thanks for their sacrifice that has allowed me to live a life in freedom.

Thank you for your service sir. My family is very grateful for all that you and your fellow soldiers have done for us.
Happy Thanksgiving

Dear buck wild
You are correct. Thanksgiving is celebrated only in the USA, but it does not mean that citizens of other countries are not aware of the special holiday that you celebrate.
You and your country are in our thoughts and prayers.
Enjoy the planning and celebration of Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving here at the Cokewell ranch, Is truly a sight to behold with all the grown 4 sons, a wonderful 3 year old grandson Zane. And of course ever family has at least one relative who lets just say is a half a cranberry off... Uncle Gene....
A wife of 32 years who is my joy. And a country of freedom. Special thoughts to those who serve our country and keep it great.
Hope to put a couple pheasant and quail next to the turkey for family to enjoy also.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
