I like Mullin, he will do a great job. Are you from Oklahoma? I was raised in Broken Bow a long time ago.

Broken Bow is a beautiful area.

Yes. OKC metro.

CH46 is not a Chinook. I'm not flaunting anything. I am just saying killing a human being is horrible, something you will live with for the rest of your life. I don't take the responsibility lightly. I am sorry if my view upsets you. I really don't even know how we got to this. Everyone who has been in the military especially the Marine Corps are a brotherhood. If you have served in combat that is another group altogether. I just commented that saying you will do something and doing it are two different things. Have you been in combat, not just a war zone but in combat. Now, let's move on.

Mmm...need to wind your neck in a bit me thinks, and do a bit of research on members here...you are new....so relax and go with the flow ;):D Beers:..

I know bugger all about helicopters...but doesn't seem too different....just saying...

I wish you had posted this during cocktail time so I could enjoy the response with a adult beverage.

Sounds like you would stand by her side and argue for $20hr minimum wage and to make Medicare stop paying for Viagra and demand free abortions for ALL….

I literally watched this woman scream that at a congressman’s town hall!
Not likely, I am pretty confident only thing I agree with her is property taxes and I do live on a simple income from my wells , cattle and retirement from the hunting and fishing industries,
If she owes property in California , and has a California Karen attitude then I would say she can go get buggered in the bumm .
I am adamantly opposed to people who demand entitlement for their children on the long hard work of their neighbors! ( I’m a get off my lawn and leave me alone type person)
I hate that the school district actually owns my home and I have to pay rent to them every year in the form of school taxes,
My wife’s family is from Chickasaw Oklahoma and owns land there, so we pay Oklahoma income taxes ( I don’t like paying 11% of our income for a place where we don’t live ) , I guess I should be put in the strange bird category for not wanting to pay for stuff other people feel entitled to, free education, welfare, housing, healthcare,
And don’t get me started on the public scammers who are on the Lonestar card and HUD housing, & the people who skip on their school loans!!!

Well, one can carry 24 troops inside, and has a max lift capacity of about 7,000#, the other carries 35-55 inside, and it's max lift is about 24,000#, but other than that, yeah. Exactly the same.

They are as different as chalk and cheese.

Not saying I agree with everything the OP said, just want to clear the air on the airframes. And yes, I've flown inside one of them, and yes, I've stood underneath one of them rigging up an external load. All things considered, I'd rather rig up a CH-53, but that's a whole 'nother Oprah.

If Paxton can do this and get the Save Act passed it might exceed anything he would ever be able to do as a Senator.

Getting rid of the filibuster is the worst thing one can do.

Imagine if Democrats were able to do that during the Bidan Presidency. Abortion on demand, 2A gutted, SCOTUS reset, citizenship for all illegals, wealth tax and higher income taxes, Statehood for DC and Puerto Rico and maybe even Guam, elimination of private insurance etc., etc..

We would have had every leftist wish list implemented. And with the Statehoods mentioned above it would have guaranteed a Democratic electoral majority and Senate majority at every election.

I didn't hear Hanoi Jane flapping her pie hole when Obama was dropping bombs and pallets of taxpayer cash.

Wasn’t the cash seized cash from the regime? I don’t think it was from the taxpayers pocket. I’m open to being corrected though

Welcome aboard!
We are here in reference to your question above, because you, a F-ing New Guy (FBG) around here asked a respected former Marine and retired LEO this,

Have you ever killed someone?

Allow me to introduce our resident Army Major General and Brigade Commander who politely advised you that you are in a very experianced and equally humble crowd on this forum.

You have a lot of combat veterans in this dialogue, most of whom, particularly our SOF members, did at least as much as drive a Chinook. Not many either flaunt it or try to use it to shut down conversation. All of us honor your service.

Me, I never killed anyone but I did whatever duties the Corps assigned me well enough that I made Gunnery Sergeant, CWO-3, and Captain before my hip gave out at 21 years of active duty service. I did however serve with many Vietnam, Panama, Beirut, and Korean War USMC combat vets. Those were my mentors who schooled me on leadership, attention to detail, taking care of my men and so on. Among them were snipers, and a few others whose bodies looked like a patchwork quilt for all their scars. To a man and there were scores of them, many with the V device for Valor, I've never heard any talk as you have written. Never.

Oh, thanks for your service Devil Dog!

PS: Along the way I had conversations with Carlos Halfcock, Jim Mattis, Norm Chandler, and many with David Willis. For the most part, they talked and I listened except Mattis for he is inquisitive. I believe once while manning a technology display at a Marine reunion I met Eugene Sledge author of "With the Old Breed" and a protagonist in the TV series The Pacific, …. No kidding!

As said I know bugger all about them....

That’s not what I said at all.

Let the filibuster work the way it was intended and the way it used to work. If Senators want to talk let them talk till they drop and take a vote. That way all Senators are on the spot with their vote. Don’t let them hide behind the threat of a filibuster and do nothing for months and let a bill die.

In regards to the Save Act if reports are correct, Tillis, Collins, Murkowski and Curtis are the hold outs. Let the Democrats talk for weeks if they want then take a vote. Will 51 Senators actually vote against a 85-15 issue the American people support.

I would much rather let the Democrats talk 24/7 for a few weeks than let Tillis work 2.5 days a week and spend part of that time MC’ing a Senate dog show while he hides behind a fake filibuster.

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.
