This is a beautiful JP Sauer & Sohn Royal Grade 12-gauge side-by-side ejector shotgun, made in West Germany. It features 28" barrels with 2 3/4" chambers and is choked Improved Modified and Full. The bores are mirror-perfect, and the original bluing is at 99%. The action displays deep relief scroll engraving with a coin finish, including detailed work on the fences. It locks up tight on the face, with perfectly timed ejectors, and the lever still cheats to the right, indicating very little use. The stock is in decent condition with some imperfections, and it’s fitted with the original "Sauer" butt plate. European-style sling swivels round out this finely crafted shotgun.

Measurements -

  • LOP to front trigger 14 3/8"
  • LOP to rear trigger 13 5/8"
  • DAC 1 1/2"
  • DAH 1 7/8"
  • Cast is neutral with raised English cheek rest for right hand shooter

I will take it!

In my PM sent stated I would take it for the asking price.

I knew it wouldn't last long. In my 70's issues of Gun Digest, there is a description of the Royal which I have always wondered about. It said that they chose the barrels for increased ability to pattern evenly in every quadrant of a special patterning sheet. I wondered what they did to achieve perfectly even patterning, but the mechanical specifics were not enumerated. They just claimed that they would.
Please let us know how it patterns. you got a lot of gun for the dollars, and better be glad I didn't see it first, lol.

Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
