I have been putting this off bc I am lazy, and don’t feel like a lot of typing on my phone. All that said, first safari was with Tholo in Botswana, and I couldn’t be happier.

Lori @Travel Express did the travel plans, Henri did the rifle expedite through RSA, and Tholo was top notch. Met us at airport in Maun and helped us through with no problems. Guns and clothes got there just fine. Flew Emirates business class and was well worth the extra money, I can’t imagine flying coach for a flight that long....

I will attempt to post some pics. I’m not sure on the measurements of the animals, I’m not one of those guys that carries a messing tape in my pocket.

It was Dad’s first safari as well, at 71, he almost waited too long, but he was glad I talked him into it. His goal was to get a good kudu, and I feel like he did, and he sure felt like he did.

I should add that the flight on Emirates from Dubai to J’brg was miserable. Older plane and just not comfortable for some reason. It was a 777, big difference between 777 and the A380...

Well done Glenn! Congrats on quite a nice bag of trophies!! Tholo is a wonderful place with wonderful people.

I recognize that headache rack on the truck.
Congrats on your success and surviving the flights.
You both did well.

Yes! Well done! Gotta love the people there. All familiar including that fine, gray Kalahari sand!

Glen, I dig those Father, Son gigs. You guys had a nice hunt...… but where is the photo of your dad's Kudu?

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.
