Ran across this on another forum.
Lion Hunt with a bow Vinny Berranco | Hunting Legends Africa
A couple of questions:
1) Was the archery tackle proper?
2) Did the lion appear to be drugged or just very tame?
3) How long a period by SA law is lion to be released prior to hunting.
Now my comments.
I am hardcore when it comes to hunting. I have also trapped and hunted commercially so the killing of animals is not foreign to me. This video was very difficult for me to watch. The lion IMO was either very tame or drugged. The wild lions I have been around react very differently when approached. Also the arrow penetration seemed very limited.
Is this typical for a canned hunt? Hunting Legends seems proud of it since they posted it on their site.
