What Watch do you wear when you hunt?

The Doxa Sub and Seiko Prospex Tuna Can were staples with the SEAL teams in the 1990’s. There were also a few G-Shocks and the occasional Rolex Sub. All incredibly durable watches.

It’s no surprise that these are some of the most imitated designs. Be it homage or outright replica. Looking at you Invicta.

doxa army replica!
Replica is 1:1 copy dial and SW200 movement. This is a Homage dial and a NH35 movement, in a Seiko Tuna case. It how I think the Doxa should have looked. I made it.

well done!

Ive wanted one for so many years now, and when they remade them I tried one on and my 8.5" wrist made it look tiny :/ I ended up with the newer release of a 750T searambler. its perfect and new lower profile is even better.

Ive resorted to wearing most 44mm and up.

Why would I want a watch ? Sun comes up go hunting sun goes down....Castle and Klippie time. Smell woodsmoke dinnertime

Hamilton Field Khaki Mechanical. It’s perfect. No frills. Perfect color to match the clothes. No battery to run out. And it’s a Hamilton.

@migrabill - Does the cloth strap need some extra attention to keep it from getting foul?

The strap is some type of heavy duty cloth/ almost like canvas or what Army tents are made out of. And, no, I’ve never had to do anything to it. It really blends in on Safari.

The Seiko ‘Turtle’ line was introduced in 1976, originally as references 6306-7000/1 and 6309-7040/9.

I’ve just bought the current incarnation, SRPE93, to commemorate this 50 year milestone.

It will definitely get out hunting.

The GS 'snowflake' is an incredible watch. It's a 'if you know..you know...watch. It could truly be a one watch for all occasions for someone that isn't beating the shit out of their watch on a daily basis. It's Ti and is incredible light. If you ever get a chance make time to try one on.
I recently bought a GS Snowflake. Wore it for a couple of days and took it back. I didn’t like the feel of the titanium. Absolutely beautiful watch but it’s light weight felt cheap to me. I know that sounds crazy but I couldn’t get right with it. I also own a GS White Birch and I thought a Ti Snowflake would be a good companion. Guess not but I still love my White Birch.

I had a titanium Citizen and felt the same way about it. It was a great watch with atomic timekeeping and solar power…but I couldn’t shake the “cheap” feeling of it.

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
