Finally had a not so windy day, so pulled out the gun and put 3 rounds on paper. Thought I would show the 300 yard paper. 2 rounds of hornady sst 165 grain factory. The gun is a weatherby .300 winmag with a Leupold vx3 3x10 with boone and crockett reticle. Shot off of a sand bag. The 200 round shot looks the same. Now I can't blame the gun for an errant shot. I haven't shot the gun since last fall. Nice to have it ready to go.

nice!!

If that's a 300 yd target group. You have a 1000 yd hammer. What a group. DRT .

Maybe... I have a coyote kill at 550 yds in a crosswind. I wouldn't take a shot at a game animal at over 500 yds. I am going dall, moose and grizzly hunting in 5 weeks. Might have to shoot 400 yds at a dall. Moose and grizz much closer. The reticle takes the guesswork out of the shot. Crosshairs, 200, next at 300, next at 400. Even I can figure that out.

Good shooting there! Now go roll something!

Can't possibly be.....everyone knows a .300Win isn't accurate! Great shooting K-man!

Thanks all for the kind words. I feel so blessed that I can go spend $600 on a gun, $500 on a scope and $2 on a round, go out my back door for 5 minutes and feel good about the way everything works together. I sometimes piss and complain about our country, but there aren't a lot of other places you can do that. A.H. is a great place where you can post without someone jumping all over you. Lots of words to say, THANKS.

Great shooting. That's quite impressive. Looks like there's some cute furry animals in trouble. (y)

The first target at 200 yds. The flyer on the upper right is the 4th shot in 2 minutes so the barrel was warm, plus it is a winchester ballistic silvertip. Nothing against the round, might have been the shooter???

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
