Hunting is under direct attack and we need your help now. Today the African hunting events show was asked to leave the venue as they were setting up.

The Borgata banquet facility waited until the African Hunting events show was setting up to kick them out of the venue, citing that they feared for the safety of their property.

The event coordinator offered to hire off-duty police for security to no avail.

We need your help to let these people know that we are hunters and we, too, have rights.

We need you to send an email to them, go to their website and call to let them know we are not taking this lightly.

At some point someone has to take legal action against these hotels, or the contracts people enter into with them aren't worth anything.

This is getting way out of hand. In fact, this has become terrorism. If the hotel fears for its safety or property, this has gone too far, and the police need to get involved.

As a hunter, I deplore your last minute cancellation of the African Events Show. In no way can this despicable act of cowardice be condoned on any level. You had a contract, and you have broken it. I would not ever recommend or use your facility for any event. Borgata Wedding/Event Venue is unreliable and a contract with Borgata Wedding/Event Venue is only worth lining the bottom of a bird cage.

We just went through the protestors ! My son was very brave! Pointed out all the leather and fur on their clothes lol the protestors are allowed to hold you up for 2 minutes. He video recorded the scene and we were held up 2:30 minutes and then they let us in. Come on down!

On what basis would the protestors be "allowed to hold you up for 2 minutes"? Where does this happen? How would they be able to tell who are hunters or not? If this is indiscriminate holding up, then could the venue not argue loss of commerce? If it is on private property, the venue should be able to have them removed. If they are protesting on public property, in Alberta, they can't obstruct or hold up traffic, certainly not for 2 minutes.
I believe they are entitled to express their mis- guided beliefs, but there are rules to be followed!

If they impede you or block your way I would tell them you considered their actions forceable confinement and assault and if they didn't move you would be forced to defend yourself. They are cowards and would quickly move
