Do you have problems to find premium hunting bullets in your country. Here in Finland is hard to find anything 30 cal bullets for brands like Nosler, Swift, Barnes. Im a Nosler guy, and I look after 150gr bullets for whitetails and find anything.

Do you know that Finland is only country in Europe where whitetail deer lives. Finnish Amercan emigrants send seven deers in 1930s to Finland and now population is estimated 125000.

You have white tail deer also in check republic, but in much smaller numbers then in Finland, but huntable.
There was attempt to introduce white tail in Serbia, and few of this deer still remain.

Other factories, besides the three mentioned also produce premium bullets. For exmple sellier bellot, loads partition, and make exergy bullet of their production. Sako makes bonded bullets, RWS has their production of premium line. But all of these are globally less known, then the three you mentioned. But check other options as well.

Yes the supply is lagging way behind the demand.
I did not know about the whitetails in Finland. Thanks for sharing that information.

Raimanparoni - thanks for the lesson on introduced wildlife! That is neat that you have whitetail there also. Good for you!

I have looked for 2 months - not very many bullets or brass.

Hello paroni
Check Riistamaa webshop, there might still be some premium bullets available. Strobl webshop is a good place to check too.

I'm off no help on locating bullets.
I've just recently learned of your Whitetail population. I'm of finish decent and have plans to visit in the next few years. But any trip must include some hunting or fishing.
I've priced a seal hunt and looking at the deer also.
My family was originally from Kvevlax

Yes, it is a great challenge to find premiums in the USA. But for that matter, it's a challenge to find any bullets consistently.

More problematic over here is powder. I haven't seen any Varget anywhere since late 2019, before the pandemic started. RL15 is nowhere to be found, either. Same for H1000 and H4350.

In the UK there have been two new bullet makers set up recently that produce monometal bullets suitable for UK deer stalking. Whitetail would not be significantly different. They are called Virtus Precision and Yew Tree bullets. Both have websites. They may be able to post some component bullets out to you…

I have purchased varget and h4350 in the last year but I was in my lgs at the right time and was also told when a shipment of varget was coming in. I had them set aside 2 lbs and took another when I got there. You just have to be persistent.

Bullets are in short supply nearly everywhere, Nosler and Swift and Berger and Barnes are near unobtanium. The only thing marginally consistently available in Canada is Hornady, there are the odd boxes of other stuff around in some of the shops that don't have a good website. Powders are hit and miss, batches show up and disappear again. Primers are becoming hit and miss. Have to keep searching and be persistent about it. Lots of shipping issues now, production is maxed out, and the components are being used up in producing factory ammo as the priority. Last notice from Vista said they had stopped taking orders for primers.

Bass Pro is my nearest LGS.

There is a place way up on the NW side of Houston I could go to, just a 2-3 hour round trip in Houston traffic is all

True on the powder situation got lucky and found a few recently that I never used before, but bought it since it was fresh and met a lot of my load needs. RamShot Hunter & AA 4064. The RamShot Hunter was only available in a 8 pound jug, so I will be using that for a while. Shoots nice in most of my rifles so far.

FYI, seeing some .30, 7mm, and 6.5mm bullets in stock for reloading at Graf & Sons in the USA.

Everything is in short supply everywhere.

@sgt_zim Varget, H4350 and H1000 are the repackaged names for powders produced by ADI. They are AR2208, AR2209 and AR2217 respectively. All three are still being produced but supplies are, shall we say, not as good as desired. The following link to ADI news from April this year:

You wouldn't be alone if you thought their response is gobbledygook.

I've seen CFE223 and H4350 in a few places lately, 1 and 8 pounders. Very few bullets save for Hornady ELDX and ELDM, SST, etc. Nosler Partitions but no Accubonds.

With bullets right now, it is basically buy what you find, when you find it. Powders and primers are an even bigger challenge. I picked up a pound of RL-17 yesterday. It was grossly over priced and there was a limit of one pound per day. They had some primers but a limit of 300. Those were the first primers I’ve seen in over a year.

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
