Question. "Whites" is a general term. I bet you , if there is any bad blood it wont be against Swiss, ,Danish, Swedish etc etc. Whatever bad blood there may be would most likely be with the SA born guys but they also have the backup from the locals that rely on them for a living. I think everyone from outside Africa who doesnt really know Africa should just chill for now. Dont get worked up especially if you have zero idea except for CNN and Fox news reports hahaha. Cheers gents and ladies
That is a voice of reason kind of statement... And I would act on it for the time being.
Important though, to know what is being taught in schools today. For instance let's say one wanted to advance an argument for western culture or technology of the sort as "Europeans have made cultural contributions to world culture". That is now technically known as "white supremacism", and one runs the risk of being shut up. Such a statement would mark one at a technical level as a racist, and someone exercising white privilege, etc... These aren't just labels, they are increasingly regarded at a technical analytical and legal level as labeling actual forms of violence against oppressed people. And again, technically, oppressed people are everyone other than some europeans.
They have europeans believing this stuff, it is in some school systems at all levels, and in some cases in the human rights law.
So the point is that for the time being we are a long way from making any progress towards reversing these thought trends. And many states that have nominal european majorities are actually already past the point where supportive left wing european and other communities hold a majority of votes and that voting trend seems pretty nearly established. So in Canada this stuff receives all party support, as it does in some other places elsewhere. We recently had a conservative party leadership race in Canada, where many if not all of the younger candidates, were onside with all this stuff, their conservatism was basically only on taxes. So basically where I live this stuff isn't political.
So if I haven't hammered it home enough, a huge amount of very well developed and detailed work has gone into restructuring the toolset for public discussion. It is a mistake to consider that it is all just tosh. I don't accept it, but it works outward from principles we probably all recognize. And in places like the US, there are the theorists, but also a violent mob. You can't make the arguments you probably grew up with, if these post modernists arguments come your way, unless you are lying in wait for them also.
I don't know Africa, but in 1980 when I was in university, We had two African students at our college, and they were like Jesuits on marxist theory and tactics. Extremely well integrated in their thinking. I find it hard to believe that people like that, strengthened with post modernist thinking, aren't available in SA.
