Rifles you will NEVER sell

My 3 are a Browning B2000 12 gauge that my Dad and I bought as a pair after I returned from Germany.we made a lot of venison with that pair. Next is my savage 99 in 308 as it saved me from what could have been a serious situation with a 530lb wild boar that ended up falling literally at my feet with the last round that settled hisbacon. Last but certaInly not least is my Mannlicher Schoenauer model 1905 in 9x56 MS. Bringing that grand old girl back to life to do what it was made for is my pride and Joy.

Browning white gold medallion 300 WSM for my high school graduation present.
Ruger m77 30-06 that belong to my late grandfather.
My father’s m77 280, model 1 280.
Numerous Remington 1100 and 1148 shotguns my grands father owned.

These aren’t worth much monetarily but sure are worth a lot to me!

Winchester 1886 Deluxe
I waited 4 years to grab one. They're very limited production and I was able to grab one for under MSRP. It has a case hardened receiver, grade IV walnut, and 24" heavy octagon barrel. The 1886 is my favorite lever action platform and this, IMO, is the ultimate variant of that gun.

Beretta A400 Xtreme Unico
The first gun I bought when I got my first "real" job.

Arsenal SLR-101S
In general I am just an AK fan and it's one of the best production AK rifles. It's the exact same gun as the current SAM7.

HK USP Expert .45
Huge fan of the USP series and this is my favorite variant.

Only two I’d never part with one is a original gallery gun the other a savage 99

the gallery gun was my grandfathers pride and joy he never left the house without it. He had his name plated on the side of the rifle. I’m named after him. I wouldn’t begin to guess how much game was pouched with that little rifle. In the Years following ww2 there was very little money to be had gardens and deer meat were staples.

the other is a savage model 99 the above mentioned grandfather purchased new for my uncle who then sold it to my father who passed it on to me. It’s rifle my father hunted with the last end of his hunting career.

I reckon I would never sell my Marlin 336 Magnum carbine in .44 Magnum because they made so few of them.

if it wasn’t so awkward to run the safety left handed I’d carry that savage all the time.
Is it not a tang safety like on the 99C? My Dad has one he bought 55 years ago (four years before I came along) and he’s a lefty shooter. Never was gave him any problems.

that’s a later model I believe they had even changed factories as that point. The earlier models had rotary magazines and were top feed.
Yes, my best friend has an old 99 with the rotary magazine and a round indicator on the side. This is in a .300 Savage.

Pre 64 Mod 70 in 264 WM (named "Betty")
Pre 64 Mod 70 in 300 H&H
Pre 64 Mod 70 in 375 H&H (named "Susie")
Dad gave me the 264 when I graduated High School A LONG TIME AGO. Barrel finally went south so it now has a new barrel and shoots where I point it. Just shot a Rcky Mtn Bighorn with it a couple of weeks ago.
I found the 300 and 375 about 15 yrs ago at an estate sale. Both were nearly new condition with only the common "storage" type of blemishes. They have replaced a Classic Mod 70 in 300 WM and a Ruger MkII in 416 Rigby as my favorites. Took the 300 to RSA last year and "1 shot" everything except a Hartebeast at a little over 400 yds. That one took 2. The 375 as been to CAR twice (buffalo and eland + lots of little ones) Uganda once (buffalo, Kob and little ones) and Australia once (buffalo and scrub bull).
