Any pictures and prices?

The prices are 8500 euro for the Boswell and 7500 euro for the Rigby.
Excluded the shipping costs.

Where are you located Jef?

JefB. Sir do u know years of production? Also does anyone have a baseball estimate on shipping to the states? Thanks

I forget his name but there's a fellow in New York state (I think) that handles importation of individual rifles. It is possible to get an importers license but the ATF treats applications as if you were going into business so even to bring in one is a major hassle on your own. I looked into it for a rifle that was at auction in UK and as I recall the fees in addition to the purchase price were between $200-$500, which if the price on the rifle is good enough it's worth it, but a lot of times the additional hassle is a deal breaker.

I’ve actually imported two firearms from the UK myself. I didn’t find the paperwork that daunting. It’s been a number of years so perhaps it has become more difficult.

Jacques, It cost me $1400 and change to import from William Evans in London, a $3300 sxs to Little Rock in late 2016. It was sent from London to Griffin and Howe. They sent it to my FFL after I paid them the import fees. Related to this .....PM sent.

caveat emptor....

I've imported several doubles from the UK, Africa, and Australia. The costs are:
paperwork on that side, permits, fees, etc.
international shipping by air with associated fees to the airline
brokerage fee this side
import fee
storage and hold fee
import paperwork charge
customs duty
shipping to my FFL
FFL's fees

Average was between 2-3000 USD from the seller to my door.

I posted the link to the website for MMB Imports, LLC. I am currently in the process of importing a used, high-end Swiss made 300m target rifle from a dealer in Switzerland. My total cost to my FFL dealer is about $500 USD. A couple of years ago, I imported a similar rifle from the same dealer, again through MMB, for about the same money. They are great folks to deal with. So I am amazed at some the prices quoted above.

As a disclaimer, I have no relationship with MMB other than as described.

I agree, having done it solo with the cooperation of a local FFL twice, I can’t imagine what service is being provided to justify the quotes given.

If you’re letting the paperwork stand in your way I would not. It’s not that big a deal.

I agree with WAB. I haven't imported a rifle however I came close to purchasing one from a UK auction a few years ago and the process though intimidating (as with anything with a government bureaucracy) was doable. the reason I didn't was the bids for the 250-3000 went about $5K more than I considered paying.

I'd like a bag of 100. I could actually pick it up since I'm in North Irving, but if you prefer, shipping it is fine.
