It was a year ago when my son and I were hunting with @KMG Hunting Safaris. My phone has started to lob out random photo memories. Here is one when we were hunting the Vallie. It's not a typical shot, but that experience came flooding back. It's nice to remember these moments. Please share unusual photos that are meaningful to you.

Hiking around a Boer War hilltop fortification. The Brits were thrashed badly in this battle. Key to victory was using these battlements as a decoy and deploying troops in heavy cover at foot of the ridge. British artillery bombarded the hill for a day and then troops advanced closed ranks in the dark the next morning. Boers had strung empty cans on wire to set off the alarm. With their superior Mauser rifles shooting from concealed trenches, they massacred the Brits. We chased a couple of nice buffalo bulls around in the valley below. I actually walked in some of the trenches.

Finn when he was about 9 years old ...this was when I didn't live here and was back and forwards....used to bring him out in summer school holidays...bushbuck were his nemesis...took 2 years ...with this one I had to lie down and he used my back as a rest...he used his Jeffery rifle on a mini mauser action in .223 Paul built him...Great serial number 40223...he was very happy little boy...

Standing in Alaska on a Brown Bear hunt makes you feel pretty small. Spike camp over my shoulder, in the distance.

Carrying a kudu bull down the Karas mountains, Southern Namibia 2007. That was about a 5km walk to the Land Rover. Makes you think about looking at the next kudu on the mountain and not shooting.

Paddling the Kunene river from Ruacana to Epupa falls after graduation. December there was mid to late forty degrees centigrade. Beautiful area but if we knew how many crocs there were we might not have done that trip

A look out from our property on Bon Secour bay in Alabama, every time I go down there I have to wonder how long it will last, the people down here aren’t going to be happy until every square inch of sand and dirt are covered by houses and condos. Very depressing!

Man unfortunately, it's not just there, it's everywhere.

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
