Proper attire for DSC meet

@Mekaniks please, this is Texas! You have to wear boots!

What about a light blue open neck Brook's Brothers Button Down collar shirt , Grey Flannel dress trousers , braces ( which American gentlemen refer to , as " suspenders " ) and one of my tweed sport coats thrown on top for formality ?

@Alistair I’m with you on appreciating the Purdey suit. Since I wear a tie every day for work, that would be a nice change.

But does it stain? I just wonder if being shoulder deep in an elk chest cavity (because I left my bone saw in the truck) would leave a lasting stain...

If you wear a Purdey suit, all you have to do is press the trigger, someone else will do all the rest ;)

This is true

I fear I may have started something for which I apologise in the most British way possible. @Nyati I'm afraid my full dress uniform has long been handed back to the stores. Even if I still had it the excess baggage would kill me!!

As our esteemed member @norfolk shooter inquired about proper attire for the DSC meet, here are this season´s suggestions for the well dressed gentleman hunter.

Of course Manny is welcome to wear his full dress uniform.

Seriously though where can I get this Poldi jacket? Does anyone know?

This is what I wore to DSC show and wear similar at various meets unless it calls for a bit more formal attire.

Anyone showing up at the annual AH dinner wearing a tie risks leaving our beloved informal gathering with half a tie!

It looks like from Ladenfrey in Munich. Looks like they sale online. It my cup of tea, but I do like the Purdey outfit.

You ever have a hot waitress sit on your lap with a pair of scissors?[emoji16]

I’ve had a few strippers sit in my lap, and they never wanted to clip my tie, just my wallet.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
