Proper attire for DSC meet

I'm only coming if Cody wears his loincloth!!

@Alistair I’m with you on appreciating the Purdey suit. Since I wear a tie every day for work, that would be a nice change.

But does it stain? I just wonder if being shoulder deep in an elk chest cavity (because I left my bone saw in the truck) would leave a lasting stain...

I think that outfit is for bird hunts.

Why not attend dressed like this? This guy's been ok with his attire for years:

Seriously though where can I get this Poldi jacket? Does anyone know?

This is a traditional Austrian jacket, try Lodenfrey.com

Maybe Foxi can help with more sources.

He said the loincloth doesnt provide enough warmth for the new February show dates..

He's going to wear his new Borat thong instead..

Thanks a lot Dave! Now I have 2 pics I can't get out of my head. And Cody would be wearing his Stetson regardless.

Im still trying to figure out how he attaches his big texas rodeo type belt buckle to that thing....

:)

He will find a way.

Philip show the pic to your tailor I'm sure they can make one up for you. If not let me know I can point you in the direction of a few good London tailors

Anyone showing up at the annual AH dinner wearing a tie risks leaving our beloved informal gathering with half a tie!
Phil I did wear a tie to the dinner but I suppose due to my lack of height you didn't see it :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yes, @Philip Glass, there should be some tailors near you to do the job! :sneaky::p

I do like the suit on the guy on the right. I would wear that to a court hearing and certainly get compliments. If I put that suit on and asked my Non-hunting wife if she wanted to bird hunt with me, I bet I would get an affirmative response. (Especially if the hunt involved a stop for tea!)

Is there some way we can make the thong pic go away? I’m not sure I’ll be able to sleep tonight!

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
