Im incredibly surprised.. but the VA Supreme Court threw out just threw out VA's attempt redistrict and eliminate red districts with their insane map (which should have happened.. but.. Im still surprised that it did.. it was the right thing to do based on the complete bullshit used to justify the redistricting

I wasnt quite as surprised, I actually thought the democrats had an uphill battle and their arguments were rather weak. They basically didnt follow multiple steps in the process, maybe if they didnt follow one, I could see this going another way, but there were so many process issues, I didn't see how they could talk their way around this one.

Only twice since 1934 has the President's party gained seats, and held control of the house.
Maybe we are on to something good here, and a positive outcome will prevail in November.

Democrats are no doubt in full panic mode with the redistricting wins favoring the Red.

completely concur.. even 90 days ago I would have told you that the chances of the R's retaining the house were extremely low.. historically that just doesnt happen.. the American voter is fickle.. and there are enough swing state districts that a change is almost inevitable..

one of those two gains since 1934 happened on the heels of 9/11.. which was an anomoly.. had 9/11 never happend, its almost certain there would only be 1 exception since 1934..

I think all of this redistricting stuff could be the next anomoly..

it eliminates several of those swing districts and straight up converts what in the past has been hard held blue territory into new swing districts that are red leaning (like Memphis)..

If I were a betting man.. I wouldnt be placing any bets on November at this point... who knows whats going to happen?????

things are getting interesting on the gerrymandering/redistricting front..

Im still surprised that it did.. it was the right thing to do based on the complete bullshit used to justify the redistricting)..

and... Tennessee just re-districted yesterday.. eliminating a tradionally blue seat in Memphis..

Louisiana is definitely going to re-draw its map very soon since the USSC case was specifically about racially mandated lines drawn in LA..

Alabama and Florida will be redistricting very soon (in time to get things in place prior to the mid terms)..

Texas is currently working on a new map..

South Carolina is working on a new map (although what I am reading is they may not make it to the finish line prior to the mid terms.. )..

So youre looking at 14 new R districts in place before November.. and CA will probably bring 5 new D seats..

Thats a +9 advantage to the R's.. which isnt insignificant since there are really only about 15 "swing seats" in the house..and 9 of those seats will now be in new red districts.. so what we're really talking about is 6 potential flips to blue tops.. and the Republicans currently have a 5 seat lead..

So.. in a nutshell ALL of the remaining swing seats have to flip.. or the D's remain the minority party..

and the reality is.. with all of the new districts.. its very possible that the R lead increases in November rather than decreases..

Jefferies is definitely shitting himself right now lol..

At a minimum the DNC is about to have to completely empty its coffers and go on a massive PR campaign.. this is going to cost them a ton of money.. If theyre smart, they'll figure out some people that are more likeable and believeable to roll out in front of the American people.. Temu Obama doesnt do them any favors any time he goes on TV.. even left leaning reporters have been kicking his ass with "fact checks" every time he goes on the air lately.. Pelosi has got to be even more hated by the American people than Hillary was... AOC just comes across as a complete imbicille every time she speaks, even on the rare occasion she makes a valid point.. Omar and Talib come across as radicals.. etc..etc..

Their best hope I think would be Fetterman to take front and center to convince the country that they have actually got a plan and havent completely gone off the deep end.. but.. I think he might be more hated by his own party than Pelosi is hated by the people at large..

They are certainly not in a great place right now.. and the clock is ticking.. November is going to be here a whole lot faster than anyone thinks..
All of this is good except we can’t count on Alabama, we are under a court junction to not redraw maps until after the 2030 census. Our AG has requested an emergency ruling from the courts for this to be lifted.

In the special session currently underway they want to revert back to the 2023 maps but the issue with it is the 7th congressional district was also drawn on race to protect Terri Sewel in the Birmingham/black belt region of the state. While this would go back to the 6-1 republican advantage, better than the current 5-2 advantage. The democrats will sue no matter what happens so they might as well draw a new 7-0 map but there doesn’t seem to be an appetite for that in the legislature at this time. Who even knows if our absentee governor would even sign such a bill.

Another statistic is that no president since 1946 with an approval rating below 50% has ever gained seats in the house in the midterms.
The RNC and Republicans need to be smart, and vigilant over the next 6 months.
Someone needs to put duct tape on Trump's mouth going forward.....lol

Hmmm, thought Canada stated it would be doing better in US trade war with the pivot towards EU and China.

Canadian unemployment numbers are unreliable in may and June as a read for the country’s economy in my experience, major fishery seasons end on the east coast in those months and bloat the unemployment numbers with seasonal workers. It’s an annual occurrence and should be acknowledged but often isn’t unemployment statistics.

So just been working out what our diesel price is...the government has taken off taxes and duty for couple of months to supposedly help...but put price up....would have been even more painful if they hadn't....for equivalent of one us gallon we paying around usd 8.20.....around usd 2.16 a litre......in march we were paying k23.25 a litre ..now it's k39.99 a litre...First price included taxes etc..second one is without......so to fill my cruiser up from totally empty..it would be around usd 280......

That hurts,@spike.t its going to cost me around $150.00 to fill the 36 gallon tank on my F150 tomorrow when I fill up to go see Mom for Mother’s Day. Luckily I get around 21MPG on the interstate which isn’t too bad.

Regular $3.75 a gallon 40 miles north of Houston Texas, 95 dollars to fill up ram 1500. Premium gas at $4.50 a gallon, $24.70 to fill up Harley road glide. Money well spent in my opinion to keep nukes out of the hands of the mullahs. God Speed to USA military ! Keep up the good work!

Survey: US Falls Behind Russia in Global Perception +++

Global perception of the United States has declined for the third year in a row, according to a survey by the Alliance of Democracies Foundations. The survey results are based on responses from more than 46,000 people in 85 countries. The US ranks 128th out of 132, several places behind Russia, which is in 126th place. Germany is ranked 20th, and Ukraine 62nd.

Denmark based group commissioned the study and did not detail the criteria used. But what I could glean, the largest (most in the news) countries where grouped together in a -100 to +100 range. They mentioned the US threat to invade Greenland as a reason the US rating fell a little year-year, so I'd say we can ignore this entire drivel. They also sampled only 46000 respondents over 85 countries, so 500 folks per country! I wonder how many in Venezuela or Cuba or US were 'surveyed' ?

Ha, let's see some of the meaningful statistics regarding the sample.

Let me be perfectly clear, with the EU refusal to pay for their NATO obligations since inception; I literally don’t care what these nations think of my country until their capable of defending themselves.

If the UK had to enter combat operations against Russia it would have 8 days worth of ammunition. (British home office)

But I believe the landslide Reform/Restore Britain party just pulled off will start to correct course on many issues.

After that first domino falls of a country shutting down the suicidal empathy of leftist ideology, the rest of Europe will follow….. or so I hope, lest centuries of culture be wiped out in the name of failed policies.

My oldest son, when he was maybe 13 or so, once grumbled about what I put in front of him for supper. Without a word I got up and dumped his food in the trash can. He was shocked. "Dad, what am I going to eat?" "That's not my concern. I guess you get to figure it out."

Doing that did not mean I wasn't concerned with his well-being.

That's how a lot of this EU complaining stuff comes across to me.
