Context matters, Iran has been saying/shouting the US is the “great Satan” and “Death to America” while making overt efforts to create weapons capable of doing so.

Smuggling a nuke into the US could be done through the Texas/Mexico border or use a missile from Mexico. The Mexican cartels might even help.

When someone says frequently and loudly they intend to kill us, yes, that legally and morally makes lethal force in response justifiable..

In sharp contrast, to my knowledge, Taiwan has never stated “death to China” and taken overt steps to carrying through.

To my mind, the most worrisome threat is an explosive device with a 20-50Kt yield loaded into a container on a ship and detonated in any harbor of the country. Such a blast at sea level would create a huge fallout plume as well. In New York harbor it would kill one to two million people and destroy much of the West's banking and stock management infrastructure. Depending on institution backup data capability, billions, if not trillions, of wealth could be instantly erased. Iran could even deny any involvement.

So apparently 98% of the affected firearms in Canada didn’t get registered for “voluntary buy back” by the March 31st deadline.

Law enforcement agencies and all of Alberta stating they will not cooperate.

Personally I feel the 98% refusal rate is both awe inspiring and hilarious; watching closely to see how this one plays out.

The number I’ve seen are running around 50%. I’m not sure if that includes inventory that has been collecting dust on store shelves which could greatly skew numbers.
