I guess the numbers I would be interested in are the peak numbers watching at the end of the half, versus the peak numbers watching the halftime show, versus the peak numbers in the second half. This would give me a true idea if the alternative halftime show had any real impact. Im sure the numbers exist, I just haven't seen them reported.

And... for the record, I watched the first half, watched the alternative show during halftime, and returned to the superbowl the second half.

Of course the White House hasn't responded to media requests for clarification. I'm sure everyone in the White House, including the president, has no clue what he was talking about. How can the press secty and Secty of State do their jobs when they're continually wasting their time trying to make sense of the nonsense that falls out of Trump's mouth every time he opens it? There are several ways Trump can delay and/or stop the stadium project..

There are lease control clauses in the contract that the Secretary of the Interior has oversight on..

The Nationsl Capital Planning Commission has to approve every aspect of the design… the Commission on Fine Arts is also involved in the approval process…. guess who appoints the leadership in both of those organizations? I’ll give you a hint… his initials are Donald Trump…

The DC City Council also has a major role, and they can certainly fight him… but, if he genuinely wants to delay and potentially cancel the project he has multiple tools at his disposal… the only question is whether or not he’s willing to do it, and whether or not the city council wants to spend years and millions fighting it (and still potentially lose)…

Regarding the bridge… once again, do some research… the federal government has a ton of power and control when it comes to border crossings… if you don’t think he can weild that power and both delay and potentially kill the project.. and at a minimum cost Canada and Michigan tens of millions and keep that bridge from being opened for at least a couple of years, you’re a bigger fool than previously thought…

Whether it’s right or wrong for him to do is a completely different debate…

But when is the last time Trump gave half a shit about a liberals opinion like Carney, Whitmyer, or yours?

Well, I'm sure the owners of the Ambassador Bridge figure they should be able to stop progress forever for their own financial benefit. Maybe Obama had something to do with it but the way I read the article it seemed like this was a deal between Michigan and Canada. Are they not joint owners? Anyway, the second bridge is just free enterprise allowing more healthy business competition. Isn't that what every patriot commie-hating conservative wants? And according to the article the new bridge will expedite truck traffic across the border something in excess of 800K hours quicker per year. Promoting quicker business transactions = more transactions = more trade = more people going to work. Seems that's what MAGA is supposed to be about, right? Or maybe Trump just didn't think that one through. As usual. Michigan used to be a swing state. Not any more. And what do you think the Teamsters Union will have to say about this stupidity? Don't kid yourself, the Teamsters Union still wields a lot of influence at the ballot box as well as its campaign contributions. You watch that crap? I didn't know who Bunny was until the show started. I thought it was tasteless. Didn't mind the music but once the dancers started having sex with themselves with their clothes on, I switched to Winter Olympics. By halftime it was pretty clear the game was going to be a dud anyway. I can count on one hand the number of music videos of any sort I have watched in the last twenty years. Yawn!

This is not my take but my barber is originally from Iran.

His take, America doesn't want an other regime because if there is no more regional threat to US allies in the region. To whom can they sell there weapons too? There is too much money being made because Iran is a threat. Always it get close he says but then they back off. He even said that in the end America is the one who lets the regime survive.

The guy was really depressed and already gave up the hope that he ever could go back.

It do not necessarily agree on his take but it was definitely a other perspective to the conflict. What if there is a friendly regime, will the defense industry still can sell all their weapons to SA, Qatar, UAE etc? Is this the reason they survive?
