If every time we disagreed with civilian authority we told our subordinates, “Hey, if YOU think it’s illegal don’t do it. There would be zero military order.

John asks Mr. Kelly at around 8:50 if the orders were illegal. Mr.Kelly says it’s too complicated for him to know if they are giving illegal orders. So a Navy Fighter pilot, Astronaut, Senator says it’s too complicated for him to know if those orders are illegal or not. But he expects an E-1 in the military to face a NJP and possibly thrown out and hopefully prove his innocence to make a political point when Mr. Kelly isn’t even clear if the orders are legal or not.

As it is when the POTUS, VP or SecDef does the same thing.

I've said this before, if the Donald was a military officer, he would be court marshalled or foced out due to conduct unbecoming. If he were a corporate officer of a publicly traded company, he would be canned, due to his behavior and inflammatory statements. And I say this things, even though I voted for him.

There is this weird thing that happens among certain of the MAGA faithful: they assume that the person who makes the criticism of Trump supports everything that goes on in their home country.

The logic doesn't hold, it's just a childish knee jerk thing. One is perfectly capable of not liking Trump's policies and also not liking policies in one's own country, or the King of Taiwan.

I don't see how one equates "Tariffs are paid by consumers" with "The King of Taiwan is cool."

Let me save you some trouble. I don't like most of Trump's policies, but also have a long list of problems with my own government. I don't mind the current King of Canada though.

I take no position on the King of Taiwan.

I’m not opposed to this at all. The UN is a swamp of shit deeper and more festered than any other government body on earth. I’d personally like to see it completely dissolved and replaced with something meaningful that actually works.

Somalia is currently on the UN Security Council… that’s all anyone needs to know about the value and the validity of the UN as an organization…

She absolutely has the right to protest.

She doesn’t have the right to commit a felony while protesting though…

She paid the ultimate price for her clearly stupid behavior… I seriously doubt it was worth it to her children or anyone else that cared about her, or that she was supposed to care for…

The likelihood that she’ll be martyred or remembered in a positive light for this is almost non existent… she’ll either be completely forgotten by the entire world (other than the loved ones she has now left) in a matter of a couple of weeks… or will be remembered as the liberal white woman that FAFO (where things appear to be going right now)…

Neither paints a very bright or shiny picture for her family or whatever cause she thought she was supporting…

Good, I watched the videos from multiple angles. It was a justifiable shooting in my view though a case could be made whether the officer really needed to shoot when he was able to get out of the way of the car without firing his weapon.

One thing all of these "protesters" are missing is these agents are more para-military officers than regular police officers in training etc. and they might be quicker on trigger than regular beat cops as their mission is different.

It was though a clear case of FAFO for impeding law enforcement. I am sure the person thought blocking the road and then trying to get away would not have any consequences.

Looked like there was some possible unsure footing with the ice....officer may have felt he couldn't move quickly enough to avoid the car...and the car did make contact.
