heres his social media post on the subject..

I guess Im left wondering how this C-Suite executive got screwed lol.. my pay package gives my family a comfortable life... but.. ummm.... its hardly "exhorborant" or "unjustifiable"... if anything my comp package is probably 15-20% lower than peers leading similar sized businesses with similar income streams, similar sized workforces, etc.. in other industries..

and those peers dont have to maintain a security clearance or jump through all of the other hoops that defense sector executives have to...

I definitely dont do the job I do for the love of the money.. I could make more, and have less responsibility and stress working somewhere else..

I stay in the industry because it allows me to stay connected to people I love (veterans and soldiers), and provide a service to the country I love...

I honestly didn't know what you mean and if that is the message that you understood I definitely apologize.

I think you need to read some more posts of me and see that I'm an agreeing one that part that we are on the wrong way. I was slighted by the too simplistic characterization of another
member than it is somewhat the fault of our own making whilst the majority is and was never for these policies. Like we are all lefties over here.

How our societies functions is vastly different and we have much less room to offer our opinions because we don't have free speech and because most countries our entrenched with families that make the decisions since times the US didn't even exist. It is way more complex

I never tried to characterize Americans as uneducated are otherwise. I think the American constitution is one of the greatest documents ever written and if you felt that I tried to make fun or talk down in everyway anyway that is definitely not what I was trying to do.

If you never been there and know how things work in other systems it is better to ask questions or visit those places. Visit us before make grand statements.

Certain things I said weren't pointed at you at all, some maybe partially. I did think the initial comment I replied to was a little small on your part. Maybe I misunderstood but it's not a foreign, so to speak, comment or mindset from Europeans that Americans are small minded, uncultured, hillbillies who are "not in the real world" as you put it. I do understand that you probably aren't of the mindset that seems to be infesting and slowly eroding the west. I'm guessing we would agree on most things if able to hash things out face to face. At a minimum we could be 100% clear.

I admit I am unfamiliar with your systems, but we agree that they aren't working. I'm not sure what kind of grand statement I made if that was pointed at me. Maybe it wasn't. I believe I only made valid points based on observation. I don't like that I'm observing these things. I would point out that my ancestors came from Europe as well. They're spinning in their graves. I would indeed visit Europe if I had the chance. I suppose I should prioritize that. It just sickens me that in some of it and getting worse, even as a novice I know I would be experiencing it much differently than decades ago. I would point to observations made in this very thread about the UK especially. I know it's a nuanced subject but I also have to trust Europeans who are saying the same thing.

I only wish for the best for Europe.

No that was not directed at you. But it was directed at those that paint the whole as Europe as lefties the same way others paint the US as hillbillies. Both are wrong.

We definitely agree for sure on the state of Europe and I and many fellow citizens and Europeans for that matter are trying our best to change the tide. But a lot of damage is already done and there are no easy solutions.

Thats completely out of left field...

@Red Leg is right.. john and jane doe arent the typical defense stock investors... Longview Asset Management is a huge investor in General Dynamics.. They, plus Vanguard, Blackrock, and other investment firms own 86% of that firm..

Vanguard is the biggest investor in Northrop.. they along with Blackrock, Capitol Research, and other investment firms own 80% of that company..

Lockheed is the same.. and the same investors are present.. Blackrock, Vanguard, State Steet, Charles Schwab, etc own 75% of Lockheed..

Im wondering if that isnt a shot across Larry Finks bow (he and Trump have a love-hate relationship that is largely defined by hate)..

Thankfully, my firm is in defense services and not defense materials.. a huge chunk of that proposed 1.5T will go into materials.. the pentagon wants ships, planes, tanks, missiles, and munitions more than anything else.. but a big enough piece will go into services (someone has to manage all of that stuff).. and thankfully we arent publicly traded, or I'd be shitting myself right now..

and.. I wish we averaged 9.5-10% :)

I have always been envious of the margins the materials guys are able to pull (which is crazy low compared to most other industries)... On the services side of the house you consider yourself very lucky if youre making a true net 8%.. if I had to guess what the average is across industry right now I'd peg it closer to 7.. and thats only because the IT guys and some other specialized services are able to charge a "premium" lol... most of industry on the services side is probably closer to a true 6%..

Pretty much sums it up. I wonder how fast, modern, and promptly delivered all that great stuff will be if the best talent moves to better compensated industries. It also infuriates me when the slow delivery is blamed solely on the industry. The product a company bid is no longer the product the service wants at award, much less thirty-six months down the road. And how is a corporation supposed to plan production when the budget changes annually - and virtually never increased.

While both industry and the customer have some blame on the delivery thing... my experience has been that honestly FAR more of that falls on the customer.. this is ESPECIALLY true on the services side...

I cant even begin to make people in other industries understand how often the military issues contract mods (change orders) on our contracts..

I mean its one thing if you decide to buy a ship, and during the build you realize you want a different tool thats only just been made available on that ship, or a new technology is found that would improve the ships capability, etc..

but.. when you spend 2 years developing a statement of work for services that is very, very specific about the sort of person you want (i.e. 15 years of experience doing XXXX, masters degree in A/B/C/or D fields, security clearance of YYYY, foreign language capability of ZZZZ, etc)... and then 6 months after the contract is awarded you decide thats not the guy you want at all.. what you actually want (to perform the exact same mission) is someone with a completely different background, education, etc????

I understand when the government over estimates or under estimates demand and mods get issued to reduce manning or to increase manning to meet the realized need... that happens all the time.. especially on "new" work that hasnt been performed before..

but when they think they want a guy with an advanced degree in English, thats a US national, with a security clearance.. only to decide 6 months later that the work to be conducted remains the same.. but the better suited guy to do the work has a bachelors in education, can be of any nationality, and a security clearance isnt required?????

Makes me insane...

And then when it comes time to issue a CPARS they want to bitch about the services gap between when you released the guy that they decided they didnt want, and the time spent finding, hiring, and deploying the guy that they now want.... which was the guy you recommended to them in the first place before the contract was ever awarded..

People get fired for the wrong opinions, careers destroyed and even jailed. The institutions of my country are majority of the left side.

No different here in the states. Control certain institutions. Destroy others.

I hope he’s right!

A publicly traded production company in the non-defense sector roughly the size of Lockheed or Northrop is General Electric. Larry Culp's total compensation last year was $84 million - likely well deserved when doing 60+ billion in sales. The compensation of the CEO Northrop Grumman was 24.7, the vast majority in time delayed stock thus tied to shareholder value.

I am not sure I completely agree with Senator Kennedy. I don't think Trump is stupid, but perhaps weapons grade hubris - yes.

Just finished watching Kristi Noem hold a press conference in Minneapolis, speaking about the officer involved shooting. Very impressive! Noem fielded a lot of questions and gave quick, concise and intelligent responses.

Good, I watched the videos from multiple angles. It was a justifiable shooting in my view though a case could be made whether the officer really needed to shoot when he was able to get out of the way of the car without firing his weapon.

One thing all of these "protesters" are missing is these agents are more para-military officers than regular police officers in training etc. and they might be quicker on trigger than regular beat cops as their mission is different.

It was though a clear case of FAFO for impeding law enforcement. I am sure the person thought blocking the road and then trying to get away would not have any consequences.

Political, but unrelated to the last few pages here...

Did anyone watch Gutfeld's segment on Walz last night? (Walz: "Expect for the next 11 months for me to ride you like you’ve never been ridden...") It's well worth looking up and watching, if you need a laugh.
I missed the Walz segment but caught his beat down on the NYC Housing idiot…

Sometimes I think I am hard on folks… I’ve got nothing in Gutfeld… it was absolutely savage (and well deserved lol)…

For the love of God, can we just go ahead and trade Canada... Minnesota for Saskatchewan already?
Don’t be cheap… sweeten the deal for them and throw in everything in California north of San Jose… :)

Many NATO states backed you in Afghanistan, with troops.. May I humbly remind you that for instance Denmark lost 44 soldiers in Afgh..?

AfD talk about re-immigration.. Who does that consern I wonder.. The german automotive industry is manned by tens of thousand turkish immigrants, now citizens..
Do you want a recognizable culture and country or a prosperous automotive industry? Not even a close call in my opinion.

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
