Easy answer. First if you read the second article carefully there is a paragraph there that states genealogy is not proven.

Secondly, one could say slaves with a white ancestor prior to the civil war had a slave owner ancestor. Of course, that ancestry was a result of rape or forced copulation. That does not make them complicit in the sins of the fathers!!!

For the record, I do not agree with reparations.

Tanks, you make an excellent point. But that is the very argument every descendant of slave owners argue. Very few people do not have some sin in their bloodlines going all they way back to the original sin.

If your ancestors were involved in slavery, or benefited from slavery anywhere on the planet any time in history. It actually could eventually be tied to you.

A good lawyer could twist this into a pretzel.

If she picks Shapiro as VP candidate, and seeing that she has already retracted anti-fracking comments from 2020 primaries I'd say that would tip PA towards her.

As long as Republicans continue with ad hominem attacks instead of attacking her record and socialistic policies I'd say Harris has a very good chance. The "Jezebel" and she is stupid attacks only work for the base, and that is not who the Trump campaign needs to convince. Especially coming from Trump, who is not a symbol of purity for sure.

Also, she will get a bump after the convention.

Exactly. Practically every conservative commentator agrees, including Kelly and Shapiro. Trying to insult her as the diversity and inclusion queen or that she is stupid will alienate the very people Trump desperately needs to win (In the same way he did Haley supporters). She has a rich record to attack. That needs to be the focus. Wish we had a candidate who could lay that out in an articulate manner.
