It’s shocking that Republicans keep getting baited into defending a false argument.

Instead of arguing or defending the government shut down for subsidies. their only response should be to point to Obama care and take your beef to who wrote it.

They should look into the camera and say your beef is not with me. It’s with Obama care and who wrote that failed law. Take your complaints and ideas to whoever shoved Obamacare down our throat. Then we Republicans will see what we can do to help correct that failed law.

Remember, it wasn’t only Democrats that pushed Obamacare through. There’s were a few rhinos that muscled it through also. most likely side deals with lobbyists.

Hakeem Jeffries already said they are voting against it. Will be interesting if Johnson can push it through.
You only got Jeffries name half right....should be "Hakeem, SPIT-TOOEE"

Many of the politicians are in the pockets of big pharma, and the insurance industry. They will fight any reform kicking & screaming
That's why politicians should have to advertise their "sponsors" on their clothing as they walk around--sort of like Nascar drivers.

Ill take it a step further..

not only does ACA/Obamacare require government subsidy.. its a completely failed program..

the cost of healthcare insurance has increased at a faster pace than inflation by a WIDE margin..

healthcare coverage is significantly lower at the increased cost (more than 50% of Americans now take the lowest coverage package offered, because that low coverage package is still substantially more expensive than what they are used to paying for.. as opposed to pre-ACA only about 31% of Americans took the lowest coverage package..

and.. only about 4% more Americans today have coverage that didnt have coverage prior..

So.... we're paying more.. the US Govt is taxing us more so that it can subsidize what we are paying more for.. we're getting less in return.. and no significant number of additional people have healthcare coverage...

and yet we cant seem to get our legislators to get rid of the shit show that they put on the books for us...

hmmmm.....
Obama care was designed to fail. It is the stepping stone for Universal Heath Care (Medicare for all).

Did anyone really believe that financing the program with interest payments from Student Loans would work?

What I find amusing and frustrating about this whole Obama care subsidy government closure is nobody is asking the important question of why does the program that was supposed to fix healthcare need propped up by subsidies to work. It’s the same issue as the college loan scam. If the government keeps underwriting it and subsidizing it, it’s never going to get fixed.

This is like a salesman coming to you and saying listen. if you subscribe to my program, I’m going to help you and save you a lot of money. If you give me this much money now I can fix this for you.

So you buy into his program. Then years later comes back and says I need $2000 extra per month to keep my program floating to save you money.

Only politicians can view things through that lens and make that incongruity makes sense.
We need to remember that only in government (IMO) a slow down or freeze in spending is a “cut” in spending.

I think they have tried all sorts of imminently logical arguments. Regrettably, 9/10's of the coverage amplifies the democrat talking points. Apparently this deal has been on the table since day one. Of course the bias confirmation readers on the left have no appreciation of that.

And let's not be fooled by this theater too much. This was carefully orchestrated to follow last week's elections. The eight democrats who crossed over - actually only five because three were already on board - are in safe seats and not standing for reelection next year. The bill passes and the remainder of the caucus can still blame republicans over trying to destroy health care; Shumer can claim he was willing to fight to the end - whatever that was; and the moderates like Warner whose vote wasn't needed could appease VA radicals with rhetoric about the continuing struggle.

I am struggling to find a clear strategy from Dem leadership around all of this. I will be interested to see if the anger that at least is being expressed online by the Dem base will shake loose some more information.

OK so what's moon pie....and now honey bun....?..... :E Shrug:

Wait for the internal civil war within the Democrat party over those that don't toe the line.

Wait till he finds out about Boston crème honey buns

Sound good....not keen on look of ordinary ones....rather not offend it's fans by saying what it reminds me of....:E Rofl:......but the moon pie I think I could handle...what's in the centre..cream?....

For all the self-proclaimed “men of the world” on here, especially those from the US, seems odd some have never heard of the most common of snack foods ?? Was in the store this morning grabbing some groceries, so couldn’t help snapping a couple of pics of such rare delicacies ;)

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
