Out of those thousands, it was estimated that 2,000 continued on to the Capitol, where couple hundred participated in a riot that we now know was incited by government plants... We also now know that most of the Capitol police opened the doors and let in hundreds of protestors who were subsequently arrested for trespassing and rioting...

So, to answer your question, I absolutely supported the rally... I did not support the violent rioters whether they were incited or not...

As wesheltonj already mentioned, you forgot "peaceful" and "legal"... Protests are supposed to be pre-approved and permitted... None of these are permitted, and therefore illegal, peaceful or not... Nobody has the right to assemble in the middle of a public road to block traffic regardless of if they actually have a permit or they are being peaceful and passive... None of what I have seen has been legal or peaceful... BIG difference from what our founders intended with the 1st Amendment...

Occupy wall street all you like.. camp out on the national mall with big painted banners and shout at every car that passes by... see if your "cause" has any merit or if the population actually gives a shit about whatever it is you're upset about.. if they do, they will support you and push for change.. if they don't, you'll freeze your ass off during a New York January sitting in your tent on Wall Street, or you'll sweat your ass off during a DC July, and you'll disperse on your own..

Agreed. Any action that could cause serious bodily harm or death meets most law enforcement agencies use of force policy authorizing deadly force however most agencies never respond this way in civil disturbances or riots even if a police sniper could neutralize the suspect without endangering others, instead less lethal options are used.

Simple possession of this improvised incendiary device constitutes manufacturing an unregistered destructive device and is a federal felony punishable by 10 years of federal prison time.

Throwing it at a person is attempted murder which is a lethal action that justifies use of deadly force; so yes I fully support the use of live ammunition against someone trying to burn others alive.

IMHO, which doesnt count for much, if rioters (note, there is a clear difference between a protest and a riot) want to destroy property or cause harm, then all options for stopping them should be on the table. At the very least, using rubber bullets or tasers, and inflicting some real pain and consequences, would cause a lot of the BS to stop before it starts. Plus it would likely result in more arrests and jail time to keep them from hopping from town to town.

Most of these assclowns would stay home instead of being hurt. Then there's less of a mob, and its easier to stop the truly violent ones.

As it is, there are basically no consequences. They are emboldened to do whatever they want.

If you are throwing bricks at innocent bystanders, burning buildings, or assaulting people with pipes, bats, or skateboards, then you are not protesting but engaging in an act of terrorism. The national guard would be justified in shooting those behaving in such a manner.

The violent terrorism that was permitted to be carried out in 2020 should not be tolerated again.

We have freedom to peacefully protest, not to engage in violent lynch mobs where we drag people from their cars and beat them, burn buildings and businesses, loot, and launch projectiles at law enforcement carrying out their lawful duty.

You seemingly would protect the rights of these criminals at the cost of the rights of their victims.
