Finalizing airfare for an upcoming trip to South Africa with my 13yo daughter. If we finish things early, and want to use our time abroad, was toying with the idea of staying over a night or two somewhere on our return...but will of course have two firearms with us. With that, leaning away from Amsterdam (KLM), which leaves easiest options of Doha (Qatar) or Paris (Air France), or possibly London. Brief internet search seemed to paint Doha as the easiest option, granted I haven't searched yet to see what all might interest a 13yo girl or safety, but since I need to finalize things relatively quickly, wanted to at least ask here for any first-hand advice.

Plan is to book airfare as if staying the entire time, and if we decided to depart early, we would just advance the flight from JNB and keep our original connecting allowing whatever additional time elsewhere.

Cheers and thanks in advance for any helpful insight.
Will

Have you considered staying in JNB at Africa Sky or Afton House and exploreing outside Joberg? Then no flight changes are necessary and both guest houses will store your firearms....

I second what Mekaniks suggested above.

My wife and I will be spending three days visiting Victoria Falls at the tail end of our safari. We will be storing my firearms at Africa Sky.

Traveling through Europe with firearms might be a challenge, let alone staying there for a few days with firearms.

You need a good travel agent to help make this decision. Traveling with a rifle is not difficult if you follow protocol. Have a great safari!

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
