Ho hum.....yawnnnn.......just some more examples of perfect performance from my favorite bullet......so boringly reliable..... :)

Good stuff Mark!

The North Fork is my overall favorite hunting bullet which I have used on Oklahoma whitetail (7mm-08) up to buffalo and giraffe (470 Capstick). Below are a few pics of NF bullets I've recovered.

The first pic is of a NF 500gr soft and a 180gr soft. The 500gr was fired from a 460 Weatherby at 30 yards in a frontal chest shot on a buff and was recovered at the back of the stomach. The bullet weighed 498gr. The 180gr was fired from a 300 Weatherby into the shoulder of a Kudu at 80 yards and recovered under the skin on the opposite side. The bullet weighed 168gr.

The second pic is of 3 NF 180gr bullets fired from a 300 Weatherby into the shoulder of a sable from 300 to 400 yards. At each shot, the sable would take the bullet in the shoulder and then run about 100 yards and stop. We would run with the sable until he stopped, fire again, and then repeat for a total of 3 shots. He finally went down despite being hammered by all 3 bullets going through both shoulders and lungs. All bullets were found on the underside of the skin on the opposite side.

The third pic is of NF 500gr soft and solid fired from a 470 Capstick at a buff. The soft was fired at 25 yards into the shoulder. The solid was fired at the buff as he was outbound, hitting him in the right ham. The solid traveled all the way through the buff's body and was recovered in the neck muscles about 1 foot from the base of the skull....unbelievable penetration.

Probably my favorite bullet! Just wished they weren’t so darned hard to get, just like everything else.
Check out Reloading International (dot) com - based out of Oregon. On their home page, search bar, enter North Fork and it will bring up the full line up and inventory. They have gotten quite a shipment in. Nearly everything in stock and in ample quantities.

What sling studs do those swivels fit ? They look to be quite a bit wider than the standard modern swivels. They may be just what I need for my Remington 30 Express wide swivel studs. Can you measure the pin diameter ?
