I have been reading a lot on here for the last year, and figured it was about time I joined. Lots of good info and experience shared on thus forum. Currently planning a plains game hunt in South Africa for next summer. My last time hunting in Africa was 20 years ago, but the kids are older now, so it’s time to go back.

Thanks everyone! Appreciate it.
Looking forward to plains game hunting next year! However, reading this forum as me pondering a cape buffalo hunt in the near future (maybe a cow or a cull hunt, as I do have a kid in college I still need to pay for ).
Thus, I am pondering the 9.3x62 vs the 375 H&H. I know both a proven, and the 375 H&H seems to be the go-to standard, but I really like the idea of a 9.3x62 with 286gr or 300gr bullets. I hunt with a 30-06, so many,many years of muscle memory for a standard length action. Plus, I think I would practice more with a 9.3x62. Hmmmm......
