This August a hunting friend and myself, we had a great week in the Thormälen camp in the Caprivi hunting for non-trophy buffalo.

The camp was really good, real Hatari feelings...

The stalking took place in the flood areas, we approached a really big herd with more than 300 animals.

Within one and a half hours we managed to shoot two buffalos which qualified themselves as non-trophy.
My friend used his Rigby chambered in .416 RIgby, I used my Mauser 66 in .450 Rigby.

Our friend Sven, owner of the Stolzenberg hunting farm joined us in the Caprivi and Vic Falls.
After leaving the Caprivi we spent one week at Stolzenberg hunting Zebra, Oryx, Impala, Springbock and Eland.

At Stolzenberg you can hunt on 21.000 hectares, thereof 7000 ha fenced. I shot my game in the unfenced area, they perform only trophy hunting on mature animals, the experience and trophy quality is really good. For plainsgame I can recommend Stolzenberg.

Also the Caprivi trip with Thormälen was very satisfying, much fun and success for not too much money.
Hunting beside of a couple of hundred Elephants is an experience I did not have so far...

Nice buffalo. Do you know what concession you were hunting?

Excellent sir!

I especially love your eland too. Was it a tracking hunt?

Beautiful camp and very good examples of non-trophy buff. What kind of ivory did you see...anything that excited the PH?

Congratulations Jens, looks like an excellent hunt. Of course you took a brace of Mauser 66.
What caliber is the one with the eland?

Great hunt, congrats !

Very nice! The buffalo look ugly and ratty, whitefaced - absolutely perfect! Cool eland as well

I hunted out of this camp last year. It’s in Kabulabula, I think that is how you spell it. Very open flood plain area on the chobe river, right across from Chobe NP in Botswana. I had a fantastic hunt there. Congrats to the OP on a couple of great buffalo.

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
