Music Enthusiasts?

What may have been taken for granted. 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, of all genres. It's all just rock n roll & being replaced by technology & AI.

Not my songs, but great influences.

I really enjoy this YouTube channel.

Redleg I knew i liked you but now I think we may be twin brothers of different mothers! You are a genius for getting Warren Zevon onto an african hunting thread!! Don't forget Excitable Boy and Carmelita.... or, of course, Roland the.... you know the rest. May I suggest-- if you don't know-- try a little Michael Martin Murphey---- Geronimo's Cadillac, Cosmic Cowboy, Wildfire (of course-- his most popular but maybe not his best), Alleys of Austin, lots of others. He was the music for GunWerx at first. He is a firm 2nd amendment advocate and conservative and a dear friend of the outdoors. And of mine I guess obviously. Anyway give his stuff a listen and I think you'll come away impressed. Til then-- as Warren says-- send lawyers guns and money the shit has hit the fan!!!

I grew up 5 miles from studio one in Doraville Ga where Lynyrd skynyrd ,38 special , Outlaws and many others recorded.I would see members of Lynyrd Skynyrd buying fishing stuff and running out the door quickly .They were my favorite band and still are .I got to sit down with Leon Wilkerson and Artimus Pyle and they were totallly down to earth .

Another Nepali cover dance pleasant to watch and listen to. Gurung sister squad teamed up with Pun sisters for this one. Note multicolored curb around park walkway. Multicolored homes and buildings common in many parts of Asia and Philippines. Most all schools, especially grade schools in Philippines are similarly multi colored. Before start of school in Philippines each year, parents, teachers and volunteers get together for what’s called “brigada”. All buildings and fences around school are painted in 2-3 days with whatever left over paint each family has. Naturally, all colors show up and are used :)

In 1956 I saw Bill Hailey and the Comets on stage at the Saenger Theater in my home town of Hope, Arkansas. They were touring(?) promoting the movie "Rock Around The Clock".

I am more of a blues fan these days. Stevie, EC, BB, Buddy, Hubert Sumlin, a few of many I listen to these days. They inspired me to try to learn guitar at an advanced age. I have the rhythm of a brick unfortunately....... ;-) and no musical skills at all!

I’ve had some time on my hands this Sunday evening and after a couple of Modelos (ok a few) I thought I’d plagiarize the Eagles “Hotel California” song for AH Legend Townsend @Bob Nelson 35Whelen to make him happy and feel inclusive here on AH. I give you “Hotel Australia”. LOL
“On a dark territory highway
Cool wind in Bob’s hair
The pungent odor of camels
Rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance
Bob saw a flickering light
His head grew heavy and his sight grew dim
He had to camp for the night
A bushman stood by the campfire
Bob heard the dingos howl
And he was thinking to himself
This could be heaven or this could be hell
The bushman lit up a tiki
And he showed Bob the way
There were voices in the surrounding bush
And Bob thought he heard them say
Welcome to the Hotel Australia
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely face
Plenty to hunt in the Hotel Australia
Any time of year
You can hunt it here
Bob’s mind is .35 Whelen twisted
He’s got a Nissan pick up truck
He’s got a lot of fine shooting wildcat cartridges
That he calls his friends
How they danced around the campfire
Sweet summer sweat
Bob dances to remember but he mostly forgets
So Bob called out to the bushman
“Please bring me my Bundy”
The bushman said, “Nobody’s drank that swill since 1969”
And still those voices are calling from the bush far away
Wakes Bob up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say
Welcome to the Hotel Australia
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely face
There shooting game up in the Hotel Australia
What a nice surprise
Bring your own ammo
Stars in the sky
Pink Vegemite on toast
And the bushman said, “We are all just hunters here
Of our own device”
And around the campfire Bob and the bushman gathered for the feast
They stabbed the scrub bull with their steely knives
But they just can’t kill the beast
Last thing Bob remembers
He was running for his truck
He had to find the trail back
To the place he was before
“Relax, said the bushman
“We are programmed to receive
You can hunt anytime you like but you can never leave”
Welcome to the Hotel Australia
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely face
LOL
Good night.

Good night.
Good old country music like Connie Smith, Marty Robbins, Johnny Rodrigues, Charlie Pride. Newer group would be ABBA.

@CoElkHunter
Very funny mate you must have been bored
I like it but don't give up your day job and become a song writer.

I will be looking for a set of these when my .505 is done... sadly not cashed up right now for these. :(
Need anything in trade?
Cheers,

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
