Christmas present to my self, this is a fantastic firearm.
Double rifle in caliber 30R Blaser, and shotgun caliber 20/76
Scope: Zeiss 1,1-6 x 24 V6
Mount: Eramatic
last picture is from my shooting test at 75 yards, with RWS 184 grains Evolution ammo, must say this is excellent in a double.

Looks like you gave yourself a wonderful shoot present. Nice find.

Oh now you’ve done it! I miss my Merkel drilling! 12x12x243.

Lovely. And fabulous accuracy. Congratulations.

Very nice sir!

Sweet!! Just for giggles what is a 30R Blazer similar to?

wow thats a fine rig there. I have always wanted a double rifle drilling.

Now, I'm even more impressed. I missed the Double Rifle Drilling portion of your initial post. I mistakenly thought all Drillings were double barreled shotguns with a rifle barrel underneath (like mine). I like the idea of yours better. Is the rifle new? If you don't mind sharing, what does that rifle sell for in Norway?

Normally it's also double barreled shotguns with one riflebarrel in Norway. But Merkel , Krieghoff and some more manufacturer made this double rifle drilling, I bought mine second hand, and it's produced in 2009.
This one is imported from Switzerland,
In Norway you only get this one with rifle caliber in 8x57IRS and 9,3x74R,
The price in Norway for this model a new one is about 12500 USD, second hand about 6-7000 USD.
They are rather rare on the marked in Norway.

A lucky find, enjoy it to the fullest.

Thanks for the correction. That is still a very respectable round for European Game as well as African Plains Game. Do you have any near term hunting plans for your new acquisition? If so what are they?

I`m gonna use it for most hunt in Norway, and driven hunt in Poland in November, and I also think I bring it with me to Africa for some PG hunt.

They are very rare indeed. I bet over the last hundred years, over a hundred drillings were built for every double rifle drilling. In fact, I think I have run across more vierlings than double rifle drillings. Mine was built in the twenties and is 9.3x74R/9.3x74R/20. I purchased it several years ago from a friend who used it to take a buffalo and a lion. I wish it were as accurate as yours Hallgeir!

Red Leg that is another beauty. I have friends that live in Boerne, TX. If and when I'm headed that way again, I'm going to PM you and try to wrangle a trip through your gunroom.

Anytime - look forward to it.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
