Well the day finally arrived, the taxidermy from my first African hunt has arrived. After a long day's drive south to the US border, a little paperwork, and g&s tax my trophies were finally headed home. Now to figure out how to best display Matt Kaprauns fine work. Matt has All-American Taxidermy in Harvard, Illinois. I can't say enough about his great attitude, professionalism, and great detailed workmanship. He has been a pleasure to work with over the past 2 years. Now before you think he was responsible for consuming the 2 years- hold on. The shipment took a full year to make it to the US due to Namibian paperwork issues.
Matt was pretty much done everything in about 10 months, which I feel is a very reasonable time frame. especially when you consider the quality of work.

I don't have an over abundance of trophy area to work with but I am pleased with how things have come together so far. I have a few back skins I would like to incorporate into the mix, just don't know how yet.
Thought some of you may appreciate a glimpse at what I have done so far.
I wasn't sure sure if I wanted to mix in a bunch of North American species with the African plains game - time will tell. (Yes I know, that is a cougar - I meant mixing in deer, antelope and the like.

Thanks Bill. - he did not do the m-lion. I had that one done in central ALBERTA about years ago. He did all the African items.

Thought the taxidermist bleached your Leopard pretty badly for a minute.

Trophies look good. Damn, Eland are big beasts.

Thanks Brickburn - Too funny on the bleached Leopard!
I am looking forward to finding one with actual spots in Aug this year. Hopefully I can add it to the wall after that.

Hi PaulB. Would you be interested in another WJ Jeffery .450/.400 NE 3". It's an extractor model and in superb condition, cased as well. Made in 1908. The rifle is here in Texas.
