Just wanted to say hello to one and all. I'm a life-long big and small game hunter. Hailing from Newfoundland, most of my experience has been with moose, caribou, & monster black bears, but I've always dreamed of going to Africa. Hopefully I'll learn a lot from you guys for when my dreams become reality. In the meantime, I'll simply have to tide myself over by living vicariously through your stories. :)

hi welcome to AH HELLERWITHAGUNN. i can say i have been to newfoundland.....well the plane landed for a medical emergency on the way from heathrow to san francisco when i was on the way to reno for sci. so we looked at the snow out of the window ( a LOT), and contemplated about where they would put us all up if the crew went out of hours . luckily (although i am sure its a lovely place) we took off with not much time in hand.

Newfoundlanders and Nova Scotians have been putting wayward travellers up for a long long time. You'd have been in good hands Mike. Throw some Screech at you and there would have been no turning back.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
