Another noob here offering a brief salutation before I settle into lurking and learning.

I have a long history with firearms and reloading and have a lot more traveling recently, but I have never been to Africa and have always wanted to, with or without a hunt.

I’m getting into the empty nest stage of life and am doing my research for some options over the next decade (hopefully even a hunt). Here to learn and research; thanks in advance for the conversations and wisdom.

:S Welcome:

Hello and welcome!

Greetings Williepete,

Does your screen name have by chance, anything to do with White Phosphorus munitions ?

Either way:
Khomas Highland Hunting and Fishing Safaris of Namibia, welcomes you to the best forum on earth.

Regarding your interest in a possible Africa hunting trip ……..

“Victory Belongs to Those Who Dare”

With that thought, when you can spare a minute, I invite you to have a look into the Khomas Safaris website.

Best Regards,
Velo Dog.

It does, in fact. I’m an old Redleg; used to shoot quite a few WP fire missions. It makes for a fun handle. Some know, some don’t.

Great pics - definitely upping the enthusiasm. Will def go check out your page.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
