I thought you guys might get a kick out of this photo. Taken a few weeks ago in Northern BC. That is my 35 Whelen for scale. Of course now public sentiment prohibits hunting these bad boys, so they are becoming a very real problem for those in rural areas. The key fob was given to me last June in SA by the son of my PH with Pawprint Safaris. Appropriate no?

I ran into a couple that had set up an nice camp, cut wood, cleared some trail for the side by side, and they were gone in 24 hours after this guy walked around their camp...
If you see the bear first, you at least have a good chance at detering any issues, but most grizzly attacks that occur to hunters are from a bear that jumps them. Usually not a chance to deploy a gun.

Just back from Alaska a week ago. We had one around our cabin each night by fresh tracks. Garbage kept inside and packed my 41 mag to outhouse[emoji56][emoji56]
