Greetings from Colorado! I look forward to exploring the site and learning while anticipating my first safari in 2019. Than you in advance for this wonderful resource and community.
Welcome scanos. I'm sure "we" can help you plan your safari. Planning for your first safari takes a little work and more time than you'd expect. But in the end it will be worth it. Besides that it's FUN. Will you be hunting PG or Dg? Are you taking your own rifle(s) or renting one? My preference is to take a rifle that I am comfortable and familiar with. One of the major differences I found was expected use of shooting sticks. Get a pair ASAP and practice with them often. Bog Pods are probably the most popular brand.
I plan to hunt Buff in Zimbabwe. I haven't decided on an safari outfitter/PH yet. I would appreciate any recommendations. I have a BRNO in .375 h&h at the moment. But, I will probably add something above .400 as well. Thanks for the tip on the shooting sticks!
