I have for sale a custom .404 Jeffery barrel for the Blaser R8. I got it in the white from Elmer Laitala just before he retired, and sent it to Jim Brockman for sights, recessed muzzle crown and finishing. It is 24”, 14 twist, 17mm at the muzzle. Sights are zeroed at 50 yards. The contour is slightly heavier than Blaser standard. In my Professional stock, the barrel is in contact with the fore stock, not free float. This does not affect accuracy as you can see from the test targets. There is a small ding at the muzzle, not near the crown; can be seen in one of the pics. Included is the correct Blaser magazine insert and Blaser “UM” bolt head. $1300. PayPal discreet preferred. I also have 10 or so boxes of .404 ammo I’ll be posting here in a few days, but want to give dibs to the buyer of the barrel; buyer will get a discount on ammo.

Of course this shows up when I have a lot of house repairs to do! (Who doesn’t!)
Best of luck with your sale!

Impressive groups and this will fit in a standard stock?

Safe to use with aluminum action (Luxes) and is a steal receiver needed?

PM sent.

As Tra3 says, aluminum is fine. What steel gives you is extra weight. I used a Kickstop with this barrel. Good balance and reduced recoil.

Just looked at the targets - which manufacturer is the 400 gr TSX? Couldn't tell from the boxes.

Superior Ammunition, a custom loader in South Carolina.

Maybe I can now finally rid myself of those Mauser things that did it less well ......

How are you going to live with the misspelled "Jeffrey". Kind of like misspelling your mom's name on a tattoo. Lol! Just messing with you. Nice barrel!

OMG - Had not noticed that ......... !! I suppose a line through would be inappropriate. Hopefully the barrel maker was better at his trade than his spelling.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
