Wonderful. GEEZZ

Africa is being recolonized. This time voluntarily, with a carrot in lieu of a stick. The difference in 100 years, China will have no "White Man's Burden", as they will feel no guilt.

Just buying it up a little at a time!

Them guys will have to pick up the pace. The Chinese expect productive work. If you work to slow you get a bullet in the head.

That is part of the illusion. China exports it's poor to Africa to do the work. Colonization 2.0

The same is happening with the Pacific Islands. Just look at the Island nations the Chinese are working on with debt traps. Same ones the Japaneses wanted to take in WW2. Chinese has stated that they should be the dominant world power as is their right. Bad time are coming.

In many ways I admire the Chinese.

They run their country the way they want and don't care if the rest of the world doesn't like it if they run over their own people with tanks or beats protesters into bad health when the Olympics is at their country. And if you wanna be a drug pusher you get a " 39" through the coconut.

You stiff them on a loan and they take the collateral instead of us who turn around and give you more money.

The countries that have taken un-payable loans from the Chinese can jack them up if they really want. ie. You gave us a loan you knew we could not repay, we are not paying or will repay what we can when we can and you are not getting any of our land or infrastructure.

Are the Chinese then going in with military force? If they do, what are the likely consequences? Zimbabwe did not repay it's loans, kept asking for more and no Chinese take over there.

Looks like China and Europe are the ones that have to kiss up to the Arabs for oil. China my take over the Middle East.

I do believe the Chinese are still mining there and taking their natural resources. May be worth more than the money. Not to mention a pipeline of ivory and rhino horn.

We have read about China's infrastructure loans to African countries for a while now, Looks like Zambia's airport might be next.

I sense the new entrance sign at Takeri will be in Mandarin. :)

The Chinese look 25 years down the road. The U.S. looks down the road 25 minutes.

Are the Chinese replacing the Zambian's as general laborers in the mines yet?

No one forced Kenya, Zambia, or any other country to take these loans. Too many people and now countries borrow money and when they can't or won't pay the loans, they suggest that somehow the lender was at fault. Maybe they did make it look . . . what is it we say . . . "too good to be true"? Well, guess what . . .
