AH Dinners for both DSC & SCI 2026

Hello forum members!!! Nathan who has done such a great job setting up our AH dinners at SCI has passed the baton to me. I have reached out to Jerome as I always do to get permission to do the following for all of us:
1. Set up our DSC dinner within walking distance from the venue that was cancelled last year due to snow and ice for Friday 2/6/2026.
2. Set up our SCI dinner at the same place Nathan used for Friday 2/20/2026.

If Jerome gives me permission, I will be setting both of these up for us. I will be far out so all of us can plan.

Thanks!!!
I wish we could have one in Dallas at TTHA. I won't be in Atlanta and am too busy at SCI.
I know RareBreed will do a great job in organizing all of this!

ONCE DATES ARE SET I'LL PLAN ON ATL.

Jerome has approved so I am digging in so people have plenty of time planning to join us!!!

I can check. The key is a private room for just us which is not easy
I felt last year worked well because each of us could order our own food/drinks.

I too would appreciate being able to walk somewhere, but a lot of those downtown restaurants were pretty loud to be trying to sit and have a conversation at.

I’m good with having it where we had it last year.

Just to pass on some info about venues in and around the convention. Over the last couple years I spoke to several in an effort to stay as close as I could to the convention. The issue I ran into was each individual venue had their guest/dollars spent minimum requirements. This ranged from $1500 to $7000.
If the venue minimum isn't met guess who would be holding the bag?
I selected Johnathan’s due to the venues manager's willingness to work with me and set up the individual tab per customer. After the first event was completed they expressed how much they enjoyed having the AH members gather at their venue and never spoke of the minimum requirements for the second event I lined up there. A bit of trust from both sides made life alot easier.
Wife and I will try like hell to make it down if we can gain some headway on the new home.

Nathan

I’ll be in Atlanta again and looking forward to seeing everybody. Following for details

We will host a gathering at our home during TTHA… last year we had about 35 AH members show up despite the horrible weather… my guess is this year we’ll have 45-50 show up… the last year DSC was in Dallas we had 65+…

Plenty of food and drink to go around, lots of door prizes, etc… last year I think the total value of the door prizes was just a little over $10k…

We haven’t settled on a date/time yet… but my best guess is that we’ll do it on Saturday after the show closes…

I agree! Friday night at TTHA.

I'd be happy to look into that for us... but.. I think Gilleys cost point would require at least 100 or more people to make it work.. Im unsure if the AH crowd attending TTHA this year would accommodate.. The DFW crowd can easily support 30-40.. but whether or not there will be enough folks traveling to DFW for TTHA to make up the rest of the gap, I dont know...

Another, smaller downtown venue could also be an option if thats interesting.. Im betting the Omni for example has a large hospitality room that could be set up for a crowd of 50 (ish) and they could cater..

Only one way to find out. Put up a thread and lets see who will be interested in going and lets see if we can fill Gilleys. More than happy to offer assistance in planning, Dave!

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
