Folks,

I said the other day I was going to start a thread for feedback on this years dinner. I've got a lot of feedback, and it has been overwhelmingly positive. So really I only have one question.....what night to have it?

In the past we have had it mostly on Friday evening, but I think one time we had it on Saturday night. Somewhere along the line it was mentioned that Saturday night was not good due to that being an auction night at DSC. However, there are live auctions every night if I'm not mistaken. Please let me know if I am.

If I'm not wrong, then no matter which night we have it, it wouldn't matter. So my question is would you prefer to have the dinner on Friday or Saturday evening? I personally would prefer to have it on Saturday night. But either way it isn't that important to me as I'm there one way or another.

If you do have any other feedback regarding the dinner, please us this thread to post it. If you'd prefer, you can also PM me too.

Good deal Phil and Thanks. Lets see if we can lock this dinner deal down to Friday. DSC Convention is always on Thur, Fri, Sat and Sunday no matter what the dates so why not lock the Dinner down to Friday and reserve Gilley's a year out every year. Just saying!:D Barman: we have to remember that a lot of members drive all night Wednesday then work a booth all day Thursday so 1 night of rest and then Party:A Yell:

Actually that's why I thought Saturday would be better, slow day on Sunday.

(1) Thusday (2) FrIday.

Thursday is I think not such a good idea. Thursday is not greatly attended and I think the dinner would suffer.

i think Sat is probably the best day, certainly the busiest. Sat also allows for people who cant get away from work on Thursday and Friday. in my case it would mean i could take less days off of work.

I have never been able to attend, but if I can make it next year, I would at best only be able to attend Saturday afternoon and Sunday. My vote for dinner would be Saturday night.

Ditto! Friday or Saturday for sure.

Friday or Saturday would be good

Friday for me too.

Friday or Saturday would be best. You'll get the most people there. Thursday there are too many people who aren't even in town yet. I don't know that either day is truly better though. There are good and bad to both.

It would though, be really nice to set whatever the date is WAY in advance to allow for better travel and show planning for all.

Friday gets my vote

Friday gets my vote.

Friday or Saturday, I can't afford nothing at the DSC auction anyway! Lol

Friday first choice, Saturday 2nd. no thursday

Maybe if 3 or 4 of us get together and bid as one bid!!!!
Hell, we would all argue about what three had to stow away in the luggage on the trip we bought!

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
