Hi everybody, I am looking for reloading data for 450 NE with Vihtavuori 140 amd160. Any suggestions? Thanks, Saverio

Given I have a Rigby 450 NE DR, I ran Quick Load for you. Attached are the readouts for both 140 and 160 powder. Please note the following: I did not have the 485 grain so I used the 500 grain bullets. The 160 was the clear winner to me given I could get 2082 FPS with almost a 95% fill rate meaning you do not need fillers although I love to use them for my RL15.5 powder. Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot! Very useful for me because it is the first time I reload this caliber. By chance is it possible with Quick Load to find data for a 400 grains bullet? I would like to use for wild boar here in Europe…

What weight bullet are you looking at??

For the 400grn bullet n160 max load is 96.3grn start is 88grn
N140 max is 84.1 start is 79.2.

I got that from xxl reloading. Hope that helps

Could any of you run the data on N150 powder and 480 grain bullet in .450NE....? From using these powders in a .470..140 require filler...N160 give substantially more recoil, but the N150 at 90-91,5 grains and 500 grain bullet give about 2150fps with less recoil than N160..with no filler.

Reason for asking is that I want to load my .475 3 1/4 with these powders...this round is almost identical to .450NE..

Has any one noticed temp problems with N140 when it gets hot like in the Zambezi valley?
Cheers

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
