I think I've now got a good elk and/or African load for my son's .308 Win.

44.5gr of RL15
165gr North Fork Bonded Cores
CCI BR-2 Primer

On a somewhat windy day....

EDIT: By the way a very nice recoil load too with no pressure signs. I've taken this bullet up to 46 grains of RL15 with again no pressure signs.

Good group and it is a very good bullet too.
I guess he is ready to go :)

Looks like you found a WINNER!

I'd stop right there. As Emo Phillips used to say, "We have a winner!"

Prudence would call for stopping, but curiosity will win out. I'm going to have to see how 180gr bullets will work in this gun.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
