Greg Brownlee knows this area as he has done this hunt. I should have done it years ago when my legs were younger. Wished I had.
Have fun and send pics!
Update: We arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal yesterday morning from Doha, Qatar. 10/15/26. Pleasant weather upon arrival. We very patiently secured all baggage and firearms, cleared customs and rifle permits at the airport. Overcame usual minor issues presented on most of these far-away journeys and hunts.
Kathmandu is about 10 hours ahead of US Eastern time. We then went to a Passport and Police Station in Kathmandu to secure our hunting permits. Our Nepal outfitter handled the bureaucracy as efficiently as possible. Unique permitting system where all hunters sign the same book in sequential order with your small photo and identification information. Then you are thumb printed in reverse order in the same book. My friend was hunter #25 this year and I was hunter #26.
Traveled then to the Yak and Yeti Hotel to prepare for the flight to the mountains tomorrow morning starting at 5:30 am. Extremely nice hotel and grounds with excellent restaurants and friendly staff. We saw a few different groups of sherpas and mountaineering clients today at the airport and hotel.
Very blessed, thankful and grateful for the opportunity. More eventually whenever I get Wifi or internet. Happy hunting to all, TheGrayRider a/k/a Tom.
Noah,
I might be interested in the 470 Woodleigh Softs if the price is right for the entire lot. Are you planning on going to the Tulsa Gunshow in November? If so, perhaps we could meet up.
