Some awesome animals and rifles here. I’ve not been to Africa with a rifle yet but I have been testing out what will be my safari go to; Blaser R8 in .375 H&H.

I like your safari hat.

Here is my LH Model 70 in 375H&H. I use it quite frequently deer and pig hunting here at home. I have also taken kudu and impala. This is one of my favorite cartridges.

Recently aquired this beautiful Ruger RSM .375 H&H (2005). Just picked it up last week, my first .375 caliber rifle. Looking forward to hunting many animals with it for many years.

had an opportunity to hunt a bit my self last week while on a hunt with a couple from Norway, I have been trying to gethtis impala for a few years but when we saw him this time he was in very bad shape I made a short stalk on him and shot him with my 375 ruger , he would not have survived very long he was very old!

I have been very busy hunting! but I finally have some time to catch up on posts, Im currently at the Afton Safari lodge my hunter that arrived last night on the Delta has a slight problem, Delta did not load his rifle so we are going to spend the day in Jo-burg I am here with a fully loaded Land Cruiser and trailer full of trophies. We are going to Highveld Taxidermy to drop the trophies off and the we are headed out Safari&Outdoor for some shopping!

Hopefully his rifle will be on the Delta flight tonight!

I must ask this.

With dozens of clients per year you must have good overview: how often these problems happen with Delta or other airlines?

Mark it does happen from time to time, but I won't say its a regular thing, sometimes its becouse the layover in Atlanta is short and the airlines don't get the rifles transferred and loaded in time,

but who knows really, anything is possible these days!

My custom CZ 550 .375 H&H in-situ at a den dug by God-knows. It's my backup gun in the high-density grizzly country my farm is plopped smack in the centre-of and one day it may accompany me on a buffalo hunt, if i can get away. It deserves to spend some quality time in Africa. Meantime, it covers many miles with me annually at work, on hunts, and for practice-shooting - aperture sight and fed with 300 grain North Fork cup-nose handloads. As a stockman, it has also been for years my go-to rifle when it is time to come to terms with the largest and/or most troublesome stock. Yak bull, boar, the occasional heavy horse whose time had come (alas.) It fits me perfectly, has always performed flawlessly, and is going in for new checkering on a just-refinished stock very soon. More than anything i would describe it as a supremely confidence-inducing calibre that has never failed to get the intended result where i have seen other calibres, including certain big-bores, fail. I've carried lesser guns with heavy-for-calibre loads as backup on occasion (.30-06 with 220 grainers, .366's) but always felt somewhat naked with them. Never with this .375 H&H. Amen to whomever it was who said "Any serious gun-collection should begin with the .375H&H and go from there." This is hands-down my most serious firearm.
