MOZAMBIQUE: Mozambique TSALA HUNTING SAFARIS June 2026

Could you have exported the elephant if you wanted, or not?

Man, what a way to end up your safari, pushing it all the way to the last day. Good on you for hanging in there and making your dream a reality. Well done, and congratulations! Oh, and happy belated birthday!

After all the emotional stuff and congrats the work began. It was already late. Kenas and I stayed with Ele and Brandon and Danny went get some more guys and trailer. Cut road into bull and started the butchering. Got the tusks out and a big part of one side cut and loaded on trailer. It was late around 10:30pm. Decided to take this load back to camp and let team rest. They would finish butchering tomorrow
Brandon and I have be on road by 7am to make border by 4pm gate closing

Thanks
No. Elephant is not importable to the USA at this time. There is a chance it could be in future. But I did this hunt as a non-export hunt so, no chance ever bringing this ivory home.
Brandon will get me all the measurements and photos needed to have Kanati do replica

All for now guys. Will finish this report when get back to states. Leave Africa Sky soon for airport then the long journey back to states and home.
There is still more about return to South Africa and stuff I want to share. Be a few days tho before have time

Safe travels brother!

Congratulations! Beautiful bull and a great hippo. You had a true gut check on this hunt. My hat is off to you for your perseverance.
I shot my elephant in Moz, and have no regrets on not being able to import it. The Wildlife Gallery did a replica and it’s done very well. Just wish I would’ve had them cap thee end and had some weight to it.
Safe travel.

I am enjoying this great post and your fabulous adventure. I was initially concerned how your struggles would shape your trip, but your perseverance is impressive!

Outstanding and congratulations on sticking out the illness. Nice looking critters. Looking forward to follow up posts.
